The location of the Emu Walk appartments is fantastic. Right in the middle of the Ayer’s rock resort. Short walk to IGA, cafes, gift shops. Short walk to the pick up spot for tours. I was surprised that the prices at IGA on most items was reasonable. The kitchen was well equiped with cooking utensils. Washing machine and dryer worked well with powder supplied. There is tea, coffee, small amount of milk and salt/pepper sachets. Other pantry items you will have to supply. Plenty of good quality towels supplied and the sheets were good quality. TV reception was very good. The apartments are very soundproof. We did not hear any outside noise while in the apartment.
Fridge was small but worked well. A few areas of the apartment are showing age. The air conditioning unit was very loud. Luckily it was not hot so we only had to use it once.

It was great that we could utilise the facilities of the surrounding hotels like the pools and bar. Also when we dined in the restaurants we could charge back to our apartment.

Bottle of wine for our anniversary and a card in our room on arrival. Loved hop on / off bus for the site.
I didn’t like the work Ute that reversed with loud bleeping noise at 6.30 and 7am each morning and parked right in front of our bedroom and balcony. So we couldn’t even enjoy a morning coffee outside as you were looking at a Ute. Was a little disappointing. I also didn’t like fact I paid in full in Feb, but every month at least and then weekly and even after check in I kept getting emails saying my credit card was declined and to change card details and pay! Made it a pain calling all the time and worried accomodation would be cancelled.

Reception staff were very helpful and immediately addressed a concern we had. We also experienced staff as being well-informed. The apartment kitchen is well-equipped - a plus since dining options in the area are a bit limited. We loved the art gallery that is adjacent to the apartments and it’s so great that the apartments are close to where free cultural presentations take place!
It got a bit chillier during the night than we expected (we visited in June). Had we been staying for more than one night, we would have known to ask for an additional blanket for the sofa bed.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It was comfortable, spacious and well placed in the resort to access the gallery, supermarket, cafe, restaurants and pools. We definitely recommend having a car to visit the area and also cycling around the base of Uluru. The Valley of the winds walk at Kata Tjuta is also wonderful. The resort is a bit more expensive than in other places around Australia, but given the distances and expense of transporting everything in and the multiple options of free talks and walks, we felt the cost of the trip was money well spent.

We booked a one bedroom apartment. Very immaculate! Modern, spacious and super tidy. We liked how the kitchen was huge and well equipped with all the basic amenities, if you’re looking to make your own meals. Town square, IGA and a few restaurants and a coffee shop is just a couple of minutes walk away from the rooms. The resort shuttle comes every 20 minutes to take you to the nearby hotels/resorts or your activity site. Our room and bathroom was huge, which made our 5 day stay pretty comfortable!
There were no cleaning services during the stay. Although the towels provided were more than enough. But it would’ve been helpful if they changed bed sheets for longer stays. Other than that, no complaints!

The resort had everything you needed. Emu walk is one set of apartments at Ayers Rock Resort and it is intended that you use the facilities of all sets of apartments. There is even an IGA selling cooked chickens for a cheaper meal option. Takeaway alcohol is available from the Outback Pioneer pub but starts at $38 for a bottle of wine so bring some along if you wish to spend less. I booked 2 x one bedroom apartments for 4 of us as Booking.com says the maximum capacity is 3. This is incorrect as they said 4 is allowed in one apartment (1 king bed and 2 sofa beds). We spent $1900 more than we needed to due to this error. However it was nice to be spaced out.

Furniture was comfortable. Big kitchen.
The reception desk hours were extremely limited and the checkout time doesn't align with return time of sunrise tours. If the reception isn't open in the early hours and the tour doesn't get back until after checkout time, how is that realistically supposed to work for tourists? The apartment had a slight odor that we convinced ourselves was due to the cleaning products used, but who knows.

Size and comfort of the accommodation was great.
The staff attitude at both check in and check out was appalling and soured the entire Uluru experience for both my colleague and myself. The no-can do attitude to assist us with a query on an entertainment booking we'd made on check-in, the lack of information shared regarding check out time and subsequent charge for late check out within the time given to us on the day, as well as the staff's attitude when we checked out was abysmal. They clearly have a captive market at that location with no other accommodation options available and don't care about the customer experience or return business. My client I was travelling with was looking at taking a conference group of over 100 pax to Uluru but we will not be returning after such poor treatment.

Location was excellent, free carparking close to apartment, activities close by, could walk to everything, maintenance staff extremely friendly and helpful, reception staff very efficient. Everything inside draws in kitchen were clean and neat and there was enough of everything.
Toilet blocked a couple of times during stay, outdoor table and chairs were not cleaned prior to arrival and could have been more inviting so we could sit outside ie leaves and dirt over the table and chairs and paving area.
