Exceptional motel in a small country town. We were anticipating dining at the advertised restaurant but we were very disappointed that the restaurant was closed.

I didn’t like that we were not warned that the restaurant would be closed and in fact all dining options in town that night. It was the night of the local rodeo so we could have been forewarned of such a major event in town. We ended up scrambling to get food at the supermarket that I could cook in the room microwave. Not happy as even at check-in we were told we could eat at the pub which was also closed at 5pm.

Highly recommend. Very clean room, very comfy beds with plenty of pillows and blankets. We were travelling with dogs and they supplied dog beds, blankets and even food and water bowls. The restaurant was a great feed at the end of a long journey.

The whole town is on bore water which is obviously not the motels fault, but the water is very harsh and stinks.

Great quality mattress with a thick topper that made it extremely comfortable to sleep on. Restaurant on site with a good selection of meals. I rang and ordered and they offered to bring my meal to my room. Wonderful to have a motel that accommodates pets. They even provide a hammock bed, blanket and bowls.

While the say the Sulphur smell from using the hot water in the shower dissipates, it does linger for a fair while for people who are sensitive to smells.

Happy welcoming positive staff, location on main road is perfect as still very quiet. Motel is quite new, rooms are lovely, restaurant service & food quality and prices are great. Dinner and breakfast was presented beautifully, tasted amazing as all fresh down to the herbs etc used are all fresh. Finally somewhere that actually knows how to make a long black/americano that isn’t burnt coffee or weak from too much water.

Excellent place to stay when travelling with your pet - our dog was provided with a bed, bowl. Beds were super comfy and it was very clean with parking at front of unit.

Unfortunately this great place is let down by the environmental issue of sulphur in the water. So running the shower needs to be super quick as the smell wafts through the entire unit smelling like Shrek’s cottage or like you have visited Old Faithful (geyser in Yellowstone National Park).

Friendly staff, excellent location and comfortable room. Very accommodating to pets and a lot of areas to walk the dog. Onsite resturant and great amenities in the room.

The water has a sulphur smell, but the town is so pretty and the people friendly so, it wasnt too much of a negative thing for us. We would definitely stay again. We had a lovely stay.

Rooms had great dimmable lighting, everything was super clean, the bed we slept in was very spacious and comfortable, the pillows were like heaven, heaps of refreshments to choose from, location was perfect, Spar was directly across the road, the restaurant attached to the motel had very good food also, our car is 2.3m high and fit fine.

The wifi wouldn't reach our room (room 19) and didn't work on any of our devices, seems they need a wifi extender to reach to the slightly more distant rooms. Our wifi connected fine right outside the reception though. Our room door lock didn't work at all.

The bed, pillows were amazing. Highest quality bed I had encountered over my whole road trip from NT to QLD. The linen was crisp and room was clean.

A little mix up with check in and check out was not streamlined (had a sign on reception door and contact number didnt answer a few times) but otherwise all good.

I honestly I was really tired after a 12 hour drive. The staff at the front desk are very helpful. I ordered dinner to my room and it was absolutely delicious. Very clean and comfortable rooms . Very friendly staff.

I really can’t think of anything. I really enjoyed my stay . Had a very restful night.

The motel is in the centre of town and within walking distance to most of Blackall. We particularly enjoyed the hot baths and the dinner available at the motel restaurant which was well above average in our opinion. The kitchen facilities were very good and a generous number of beverages provided for free.
