Easy going laid back helpful staff. Totally convenient for where I wanted to be for the night. Has a good pub menu so there’s no need to go out to eat. For such basic pub accommodation I was pleased to be given soap and a towel. Other pubs haven’t provided them. Shower water was good and hot. Kitchen room was handy. Place was clean.

The room is small and I didn’t try the aircon as I don’t like how noisy those old units are. But I reckon it would be essential if it was any hotter. I was a bit concerned that there was only 2 showers (and 1 toilet in a separate location) but it wasn’t an issue at all. Not sure what it would be like if it was busier there and the campers were using the showers too. Please note - these are not complaints- points of information only.

The food wasn't cheap but was great value. Good simple food and plenty of it well cooked. The pub was a happy place amongst locals - means a lot to feel comfortable in a pub

Lots if you want to compare it to a five star hotel but for what you pay you get.....and this was an honest value for money place...did I miss friendly? It was very friendly

The owners were so helpful, booking .com made a huge error and booked us in when there was no rooms available but the owners shuffle a few people around and gave us a bed for the night when they didn’t have to . Shameful booking.com won’t be using you again
