Absolutely amazing inn so close to the city centre with shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Paul was so accomodating and helpful throughout our stay. The accomodation was very clean with comfy beds and tea/coffee and water provided for our stay. Travelled via train and our room was ready and checked in at 12pm. Would absolutely recommend this beautiful motor inn for your stay in Charleville. Will be back, Excellent service!

We received a great welcome from manager Paul who came to our unit to open, and later started up the BBQ in the motel front garden area for us to cook dinner, providing all utensils, and then taking back the cutlery and crockery to his dishwasher. We basked in the warm evening for our dinner. Little noise from other guests in spite of clearly being a busy week night, and some then early rising workers getting away. Convenient flat walk to the town centre.

Charleville apparently draws from artesian bore which at times gives a terrible sulphur smell to the water. This is a town issue, not the properties issues so if you’re staying in Charleville ( great little town) couldn’t recommend this place more highly, despite the town water issue. They gave us plenty of bottled drinking water we didn’t go thirsty.

For the price it was exactly as I expected. The Owner was very lovely and helpful, when we told him we had a trailer he was very accommodating and gave us various options for parking. The room was nice and clean and the location was close to everything but still felt tucked away and quiet.

The driveway around the parking spaces is tight but otherwise top place to stay if your travelling through charleville.

Comfortable, clean and warm with good facilities. Very convenient for town and the other local attractions. The artesian water has a strong unpleasant odour but that is the case throughout the region. The owners were pleasant and friendly. We left a small item in the room when we left and they kindly agreed to post it back to us.

The signage needs to be improved Despite having a street frontage we drove past it twice before spotting it! Parking was adequate. Our room faced onto a metal fabrication yard which wasn’t the best outlook but it was quiet most of the time.

Good motel, easy walking distance to the main street & shops. Free laundry with either dryer or clothes line to use. Popular motel, no issues re noise. Good shower, comfy bed. For those who are unprepared for the smell of the local water when used, signs in bathroom explain that the water comes from the Artisian Basin, so has a Sulphur smell. Some may not like this but it wasn't an issue for us.

Didn't like smokers who sat outside their room at night & smoke wafted into our room so had to close windows. Should be a designated smokers area not near rooms.

The staff were very helpful waiting for our arrival. They also gave us a complimentary room upgrade. The room was large, quiet, clean and comfortable. It was nice that bottles of water were included as the bore water had a strong taste.

Nothing- this is a comfortable motor inn perfect for a clean, comfortable bed during a road trip.

The motel buildings are some decades old and while our room was smaller than newer motels, it was very clean and comfortable and had all we needed for a one night stay, including a microwave oven that we used to heat our dinner. Facilities also include free secure wifi which is much appreciated. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Location and amenities were very good, but the outstanding feature was the performance of the relief managers Jim and his wife Leigh. They went to great lengths to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. As always, it's people that make the difference and these two are different. Outstanding care and service.

For country motel accommodation, the Waltzing Matilda Motor Inn is pretty close to perfect! Out of the 6 motels we’ve stayed in on our road trip so far, this motor inn ticks every box. Good location, nice room, comfy and clean, friendly & helpful owner/manager. Was impressed with the variety of TV channels! Comfy bed, good shower and quiet - highly recommended.
