Spacious large clean room with all room facilities supplied. Outdoor area by the side road. Inner outdoor area for use with outdoor furniture and (I think) cooking facilities. Auto machines for drink and small grocery items, though supermarket right round corner, though check varying opening times. A 10 minute walk to ferry to Horn Island.

Hotels in Torres Strait islands are overpriced for what they offer and their lack of modernisation. Of course with being so isolated and shipping controlled by one agency, this may affect prices generally. Some bright furnishings, bed covers and paint could be given the rooms to reflect the beach outdoor environment.

The staff - Phillip & Georgie - were extremely friendly & co-operative. Any problems that I needed to solve were immediately addressed by both of them. Moreover both were prepared to drive me whenever I needed some assistance. I also liked that the security gates at the entrance to the motel were very high & extremely robust at night time. I also appreciated the proximity to the local IBIS supermarket.

There was really nothing that I did not like. However I do think that it would be useful to install a stronger & more powerful router to support their WI-FI especially in relation to some rooms that are some distance from the reception area. OK.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room well equipped. Reasonably close to everything there is to see on the island. I enjoyed the walking, although those hills are pretty steep. Air-conditioner worked well, and was needed.

Very comfortable (albeit basic) room in a convenient location. We were afforded an early check-in and a late check-out which was much appreciated. Very friendly and helpful staff.

No in-house breakfast option. Although the supermarket next door did have breakfast supplies, it did not open until 9:00am on the weekend. Rooms are expensive.

Cam was an absolute gentleman. The bed was extremely good - one of the best I've ever slept in.

Hot water disappeared very quickly.

Welcoming staff and relaxed lovely atmosphere. Great shower perfect location close to the beach, cafe, ferry and supermarket. Really enjoyed my stay.

Manager and staffs was really friendly and attentive. The location was excellent. 2 minutes walk to the shops and the waterfront/beach.👍🏽

close to supermarket and pub excellent and very quiet aircon

it’s pretty old but fine for isolated island. there are stairs to second floor and no lift could be problem for some no views

It was a very convenient location, (close to the sea front, and main streets, shops, etc), lovely to have a base to keep coming back to, with fan and AC, (to shelter from the wind and heat), a great tele that had internet connectivity. Friendly staff, who happily accepted looking after my bag between check out time and when the afternoon ferry departure time, so I didn’t have to lug it around.

I’m not sure there was anything I didn’t like!

Location was great just around the corner from the ocean, and a quick walk to the pub for tea
