Great shared accommodation. We are a family of 4. We booked two rooms with shared bathroom. The rooms were lovely and beds comfortable. The staff were wonderful. Make sure you go and have a drink (write your name on the roof) and a delicious meal at the Cally. You’re right in the heart of town. Next to the ocean and a great track to the lookout and the obelisk - worth a walk/ride/scooter.

As mentioned it’s a shared bathroom, however guests eating upstairs also have access to the guest bathroom. However when we were there it was very clean, we didn’t really see any patrons. we showered in the morning when the pub was shut. No issue.

I stayed for one night at this charming pub accommodation and had a pleasant experience overall. The room, while basic, was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, providing a good night’s sleep after a day of travel. The shared bathroom was tidy and had all the essentials, which I appreciated. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly and welcoming staff. The pub restaurant was great — flavourful and well-prepared, making it a great choice for a meal.

I wasn’t expecting much as it was just a hotel room that I booked for cheap with a shared bathroom, but it turned out to be the best stay I’ve had so far ! :) It didn’t smell, it wasn’t dirty, everyone was so welcoming, I felt like I was at just staying with family friends, the food was really yummy for dinner, everything was in walking distance, the coffee next door was amazing & the bed was so comfortable, I also appreciated how hygienic the shared bathroom was, it smelt nice & fresh ! Very happy & want to stay again next time I come up :)

Personally I love having more air flow (so I just had the window open) but a fan would have been nice as the temperature of the room was good ! Only thing is I noticed the AC didn’t work so I can imagine on a hot day that would be inconvenient haha :)

Lovely heritage accommodation. Great value. Excellent meals available downstairs so this was very convenient on our late arrival. Staff were great.

We had a front room (above the bar and near the street) that may have been a problem for a light sleeper but did not bother us. We have stayed in a back facing room previously and that was quiet. Share bathroom and share coffee/ tea area were reflected in the cost so also not a problem.

What a gorgeous set up! I was delighted by the thoughtful touches in the rooms above this beautiful pub. Comfy bed and delicious food.

The wait staff were great, but the bar staff appeared bored and keen to knock off, even though it wasn’t that late 😂 No instructions given about the wifi, how to exit the hotel etc.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Best location and great food when I ate there!

Really can’t think of anything! I think the only thing that would’ve been good was bottled rather than tap water in the water bottle dispenser thing in the common room. It tasted like the tap water!

A wonderful place! The historic inn with open fire, the location on the beach and in the centre of the small lovely town, the interior decorating of the pub and the cottage, the warm and welcoming pub, friendly welcoming staff, delightful very well equipped cottage with an open fire and sea views, the gorgeous garden. ......

Only a small thing - it was busy, and a couple of basic things we asked for after arrival (coat hangers, an extra blanket) needed to be asked for twice

Location and the beds were so comfy.

Shared bathroom especially when a function was on with lots of other people using them - I knew that when I booked but didn’t realise the toilet part of the bathroom was open for the public to use.

Good to have the lounge next door to our room. Had breakfast there.

A group that were leaving late in the evening had placed a wine glass under the front wheel oy my car parked outside. I noticed it in the mornig. No fault of the staff who would not have known what had happened.

Love Robe and our stay at the Caledonian Inn. Love the old ship doors into your room, which is beautifully decorated. The shared shower facilities are clean with plenty of room to get changed. Great shower, which is a priority for my stays.

The noise from the balcony function area, but that's to be expected at that time of the year. We normally travel out of the tourist season when it's quieter, but it's the perfect place to stay.
