Great location, walking distance to all cafes, pubs, beach, wharf, shops. No reception on arrival or staff, however the communication via text for our room number and entry was extremely easy. Even though the rooms little smaller than what we have experienced prior, the outlay certainly worked and great storage cupboard for suitcases, bags and clothes. Parking our car was easy, however just keep in mind to exit out the back of the property as this makes it easier when cars parked vertically. Will definitely use this accommodation again if ever passing through. We would rate this 9/10

Refurbished room had everything we needed. The location was ideal and the contact with the staff friendly and helpful. When we needed a power board because of the location of the power points by the bed it was delivered within fifteen minutes. It wss excellent value for money too.

The power point location right next to the skirting board was an issue for access and for plugging in my husband’s c pap machine. With these machines being so widespread this may be an issue for other travellers. Perhaps a power board already in the room could be helpful. Although one was delivered to us very quickly and with no issue. I would love to have fresh coffee cups each day as they are difficult to clean with just the bathroom sink to use.

The size of the family room is great. It has plenty of space and does make you feel like you have plenty of space. The location is very central and allows to leave the car parked most of the time There is a private outside area at the back which is lovely and the place itself is well kept.

I thought I had read there was an oven, instead we only had a microwave. We also didn't realise you actually had to put a sign out to have your room cleaned, which - given the cost - I would have liked to have done. We were there for 3 days without a clean (bins were emptied and towels were exchanged). We stayed with 4 people but were only given 3 towels which I assume was a mistake. Biggest issue was that the internet didn't really work and the TV didn't work at all. The screen is nice and large but it didn't even work in its simplest setting.

Stayed one night en route to Adelaide. Cosy, tidy very clean, well equipped room. Good bed, shower and wifi. Small sofa. Big storage cupboard. Crockery and cultery. Close to Foodlands, shops, beaches and sights. Very good value for money. Would stay again.

Google maps seems to have confused a road on the left with the entrance just after the road. Entrance could be better marked. Motel seems to have been 'rebranded' from the 'Guichen Bay Motel' to 'The Guichen'. Room was very good for overnighter but not sure how it would fair for a long stay.

Good location, comfy bed, nice and warm.

Shower curtain - the bathroom seemed to be recently renovated and a glass partition with sliding door who have been much better than the shower curtain which always sucks in towards the shower water. Also it was requested that we clean all the crockery and cutlery we had used, but the only place to wash them was in the small sink in the bathroom. Never come across anything like that before!

Room was clean. Shower worked well. The fridge froze some of our food - perhaps it was up too high but a note not to put food next to icebox might be useful. Found it strange that the queen bed was in the lounge and 2 singles in the bedroom. Some more coat hangers including trouser hangers would be great. Pillows were lumpy. Single beds very soft and queen bed very hard (might benefit from a mattress topper). Just some feedback for improvements but overall nice room and good location

Location was great walking distance to the shops & restaurants

Check in was hard no one at reception to greet face to face, The day we arrived the town had no phone or internet SOS coverage due to a storm going through the night before. So was lucky we found a phone box, was able to ring the location to find out what room we were checking into. Three other couples had the same experience as well.

Excellent and very large room with heating and cooling. A few extra power points would have been a bonus but I have learned to travel with our own extension cord so no big problem. Good location and everything we needed was within walking distance. Room was spotless but missing the information booklet with the internet password and unable to contact the management on the number provided (there is no one on site). Managed to get the password off a fellow guest so all was well.

More power point near table for computer hook up. A contact number to management that works.

Room was clean and comfortable size for our two night stay, the location of the Motel was perfect, walking distance to shops and Restaurants

The noise that could be heard from the adjoining room, the talking, TV, boiling the Kettle, washing the dishes, slaming doors etc and then be woken at 6am by their alarm!!!! and the noise of them starting all over again!!! Was not impressed, either they were the most noisy people ever or there is no sound proofing between rooms!!! Think it was a bit of both!!

Location. Staff. Close to laundromat and a handful of great cafes for breakfast

The shampoo/conditioner was terrible - you need a separate tube for shampoo and conditioner (sorry). Also, upon arrival I could not receive any message on my phone, or make calls. Luckily, the cleaning lady was there on the premises and provided all the assistance I needed. My phone service provider is VODAPHONE and their coverage in country areas is terrible.
