Ben was the loveliest host I have ever had, calm, professional, nothing was too much trouble, and he did it with a beautiful smile. It elevated the stay to memorable. My only concern is if he works too hard lol, but he seems to love his job which makes a nice change, as a seasoned motel stayer. The motel seems to be having renovations, some things in the room needed updating, but nothing to complain about. The bed was clean and comfortable, room was spacious, and everything I needed was there, including a good size television and reverse cycle air-conditioner which is necessary in that climate. The location is perfect with a fish and chip shop over the road and a supermarket 2 mins walk away. They also provide meals, the butter chicken was divine. 5 minutes from the bus stop with buses once or twice a day. There is a fair bit to do and see for such a small town, and it is a bird watchers paradise with Diamond Firetails, Superb Wrens, Purple-crowned Lorikeets and much more along Nardoo Creek and behind the motel! Overall, highly recommend!

I didn't have any expectation for an older motel in a little remote town in the goldfields, but the staff here go above and beyond to make you comfortable and your stay memorable. Issac at the front desk is an absolutely gem! was running late my first night and was a bit worried no one would be around for check in but he stayed late for me. on my last night I got back to my room at around 9, and because its a little town no one was serving dinner anymore, but they cooked me a burger and brought it to my room, I've never had room service at a motel before! 10/10, I will def come back! Check out is at 10am, but I didn't feel rushed out and no one pestered me when I was running behind, a very lovely hospitality experience!

It is a bit dated and could use a reno but I mean it's far out I can't imagine anyone would expect sleek and modern.

We stayed in the disability access room which provides excellent facilities for anyone with limited mobility - pretty good for the fully able bodied, too! The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. Bathroom very thoughtfully laid out with easy access and every aid to assist mobility. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful and can provide excellent meals either in the restaurant or served in the room. Conveniently located in the centre of Wedderburn, we will certainly stay here if ever we are in the area again.

What's not to like?

The manager was very helpful and attentative, making us feel at home. Our room had been renovated so was very comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. Dinners served in the onsite restaurant were delicious and well presented. We had previously stayed in one of the older rooms which was also comfortable and had everything we needed.

Parking was tight when most rooms were occupied. In the renovated room there was no bathroom fan and some hooks and bathroom lock were placed too high for shorter people.

Having booked a Disability friendly room we were thrilled to find the room was very large and offered a great deal of clear space, comfy couch and good table seating and both a double and single bed. Good disability railing in a very large bathroom made toilet and shower access like home. Ample lighting in the car park and shops and eateries in town an easy stroll for those with mobility issues. Motel restaurant also on offer. Very quiet room despite being on the main road. Even the fridge ran quietly. Very satisfied so we stayed a second night.

The room had been freshly renovated, so looked great. The location was great, right in the middle of town, so close to the supermarket and food. There was a lovely big window that looked out onto a public garden. Kitchenette had everything you'd expect (toaster, microwave, kettle). There were free toiletries. And there was a minibar, which was transparent about the cost. The bathroom was beautiful.

My only issues would be the parking. In a busier time, I don't know how everyone would be able to park near their room.

Attentive, responsive staff. Great restaurant. We had 2 stays, one in an aged section of the motel, the other was in a totally new fit-out room. Both were well equipped and comfortable with good space.

In the new room there was no fan in the bathroom, the latch and hooks were too high for a shorter person to reach. Hopefully these will be fixed in the fit-out of the other older rooms

Rohan was an exceptionally welcoming host. The location was a great halfway stop between Melbourne and Mildura. Although the motel is aged, as is the town, it was remarkably clean. Ample toiletries for each guest and refreshments. A mini bar is also provided to purchase snacks and there is a restaurant and breakfast service available.

? Hard to fault other than the age of the building and general wear and tear. Overall, good value for money

It was great that we could prepare our own breakfast, as we had to leave each morning pretty early. Many thanks for the toaster! Also the non-slip surface of the bathroom was much appreciated, and the calm, friendly, welcoming manner of our host.

There were power points in the bathroom but one each side of the bed would also have been good, in this age of mobile phones.

Newly renovated room very nice. Overlook parkland which was private and no bright shining security or street lights coming in windows overnight and could open window for fresh air - hooray!

The bed was a bit too soft for me. My work colleagues seperate room was yet to be renovated and showed how it needs it. as a tall person he could not fit in the shower.
