Facilities are excellent. I loved the clean and cool swimming pool, the bbq area, the sunken spa bathtub which was long, deep and luxurious, the separate shower and toilet room which was well ventilated, the beds which were so very comfortable, the sheets were top notch and beautifully laundered, the location was fantastic, there was easy parking at the door, and last but not least great management and staff. And it was pet friendly! My toy poodle Alfie loved it too and we will be back soon.

I stayed at the Charlton Motel for one night on Boxing Day and found it to be a pleasant experience. Although the property is old, it was clean and tidy. The check-in process was smooth, and the room had all the necessary amenities and was functional. It's a great option for travellers passing through, offering good value for money.

Very welcoming and friendly with great local advice. When I arrived, it was 38 celsius and the air-conditioner was already on in the room, very refreshing and thoughtful.

The porch light switch was controlled by the complex and the light was very bright. I found it difficult to sleep until it was switched off as the light was entering around the edges of the blind and could not be blocked out.

Friendly staff, couldn't be more helpful, storm has raged threw and still maintained a perfect stay,, short walk to town,, great spot to relax,, pool was excellent, mini golf was closed due to fallen trees but can't wait to go back,, i left something behind in the room and as quick as a flash they rang to tell me,, good ol country style people,

Plenty of parking space and the room seemed quite spacious

I was staying in a pet friendly room but you could very easily spot all the stains in the carpet and all of the fur around the bottom of the beds. We also had a spa bath that would shoot out small black particles occasionally. The shower head also couldn't be moved or else it would flop down.

The property is quite old but extremely well maintained. Clean and comfortable, perfect for our one night stopover. It’s the small things, like a few extra snacks available to purchase already in the room that make this motel a step above it’s contemporaries. Naturally, being pet friendly is a huge plus!

We stopped here after a 3 hour drive and the lovely staff (Mark and Donna) made sure our stay was perfect. They are very friendly and because of this we will always come back. The beds were comfortable and had lovely, crisp white sheets and we really enjoyed the hot shower after our long flight and car drive.

There is nothing we didn't like.

The room was comfortable and well equipped, I even had a minibar. The shower was lovely and hot, and the towels were large and soft.

There was a significant gap under the front door which allowed a cold draft thru the room. I rolled up a towel as a draft stop on the second night.

The bed was very comfortable and had lovely white, fresh sheets. The electric blanket was a bonus. The room appeared freshly painted. The water pressure in shower was good. Tea, coffee, biscuits were complimentary and there were plenty of snacks on offer for a small fee. The staff were friendly and our stop here was a wonderful and relaxing break for our long trip.

The huge property looks dated in places but the owners are in the process of maintenance, painting, repairs etc
