The breakfasts were fantastic and Kate especially catered for Cecilia's gluten-intolerance - most thoughtful. The roaring fire in the lounge is lovely on a cold autumn morning. Beautiful place to stay. We especially enjoyed being able to have a BBQ down in the garden one evening. There is a walk along the river from the property to Bridgetown (about 20 mins) although we didn't try this out. Lots of helpful suggestions from Rick and Kate on places to visit. Very nice hosts; we had a great stay. They have done wonders with the property; a pleasure to stay.

We recently stayed here with friends for an extra long weekend getaway & the property was exceptionally lovely; the view from our balcony was picturesque and relaxing; we all loved everything about our stay especially the alpacas and Bindi the gran fur baby. Our hosts were delightful and made sure our stay was great; the facilities were clean and had everything we needed for our time at Rickaty. We would definitely recommend staying here, you will love it 😊

It was perfect, we loved everything! Kate and Rick were fantastic hosts, very kind and welcoming. The property is beautiful and well-kept, our en-suite room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was truly delicious. We saw all kinds of birds and bunnies in a carefully manicured garden with a lovely view of the river. It's a very peaceful and quiet spot, but also only less than 5 minutes by car from the main street, which made it easy for us to eat out and enjoy the town. My wife and I felt like we were in a home away from home!

It is a beautiful property with a lovely serene and peaceful view of the Blackwood River. The gardens are amazing. The room is so clean and comfortable. Rick and Kate the hosts and owners put a lot of love into their home and property, they are such lovely people. The real fast they provide is exceptional. This is the 3rd time we have stayed there and it's a delightful experience. We will return!

I can't think of one thing.

Each day, breakfast was a delightful experience, freshly prepared for us, and we had the pleasure of sharing our preferences. The food was not only delicious but also served at a leisurely pace, allowing us to savour every bite without feeling rushed. It was truly a meal designed for our convenience and enjoyment.

Everything was better than we hoped for. True value for money

Hi. I wanted to write this in "the Book" but you would probably have problems reading my writing. "Rickaty is in a quiet and peaceful location with a comfortable bed, great food and Katy and Rick made is feel very welcome"

Not a dislike but maybe an observation. In the event of very hot or very bad weather a guest would be virtually restricted to their rooms. If this weather were to persist It could prove irksome. In some B n B's we have frequented there has been a central area available to guests, for instance the Dining Room, in the event of bad weather. This would enable them to play cards, read books, watch TV etc. Unfortunately this would not be easy to implement with the layout of the rooms at Rickaty. Another armchair in the bedroom would be nice and would keep guests "off the bed with their clothes on" Please read these in a positive way - our stay with you was bliss compared with some.

The location and facilities were superb. I don't recall staying in any place that made me feel more contented. Rick and Kate were the perfect hosts and the breakfasts deserved a Michelin Star rating.

There was nothing to dislike in terms of the accommodation the food and the friendliness of the hosts.

What a beautiful, tranquil & majestic place to stay. Very clean & so comfortable. Not far from town & right on the river. Rick & Kate were marvellous hosts, friendly, warm & nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was included & was generous & filling.

Beautiful and quiet property, very comfortable room with every detail considered and looked after - from the bed linen to bathroom amenities. Fantastic walking trail to town. Delicious cooked or continental brekky and the most hospitable and kind hosts, thank you very much Kate and Rick!

Nothing, it was the perfect B&B

Very clean and comfortable, and plenty of storage room. The balcony is lovely, overlooking the beautiful garden and Blackwood River. Hosts Rick and Katy are very welcoming and provide a very good breakfast in lovely surroundings. Bridgetown is a very nice little town, with good amenities and nice restaurants and cafes. The Ciderey is a great spot to eat and drink.
