The absolule highlight and very big surprise was the delicious food at their restaurant - we had dinner there every night, the portions were perfect, and the food truly delicious. The breakfasts were also amazing, lots of options. The staff is was SO nice, especially the restaurant/breakfast crew, and also the owner/manager is super friendly, accomodating and welcoming. They are dog friendly, we were allowed to bring them for dinner and breakfast! Lots of walking areas around the hotel for them as well. Location couldn't be better, just across the street from the bus stops that take you everywhere, and walking distance to the farm lands and little river paths which the dogs had an absolute blast!

The hotel is nice and rooms are modern and clean. Location is close to the Zugspitze. Staff was friendly and somewhat helpful.

The restaurant belonging to the hotel is not great. The food is ok, staff is not very attentive and some patience is needed. Prices are high for what you get. After the first dinner there, we decided to drive to better places in the area for other meals.

This is a beautiful hotel with luxurious and clean amenities and facilities. The bed was comfy, the view was pristine onto the lake and the mountains, it was so quiet to sleep, breakfast was rich and great, best for a day of hiking. And I cant stress enough how funny, welcoming and really cool the hotel manager at our arrival was. What a great character, what a warm and funny welcome!! Also: there was dog food and water bowls and a dog blanket in our room! Love love love!!

One of the waiters at the restaurant was not friendly and he didnt clean the table from the guest before for like 30min. It was 9pm but still he was super unattentive. Everyone else was lovely!!! Would have loved to stay longer!

Nice location, good food, well located, nice SPA. Typicall Austrian look and feel which perfectly fits into the area. Very good starting point for hiking, skiing or alike

Cleanliness in the room could have been slightly better, staff friendly but only speaking German in a limited way, which at least at the reception and the restaurant could be expected in Austria and which is for us part of the experience we wanted, as this gives an additional nice local touch

Nice modern styled room. very friendly personnel this time we travelled without our dog, but we love seeing pets being accepted and friendly treated in a hotel.

Dear Grüne Baum owner, you definitely have to rethink your kitchen staff! Service is great but what you get on your plate does not concur with your hotel's rates for Halbpension. All meat and fish dinner dishes were basically ... well ... let's say not good.

Small spa area which quickly got crowded when hotel was fully booked. Average dinner offer - limited selection (even a'la carte) and poor quality. We ended up with takeaway pizza the second night, which was much better value for money.

The room was modern and had all the amenities I required. Despite the sudden drop in temperatures outside for the time of year the hotel was warm and comforting on the inside. Upon arrival my attention was drawn to the availability of the sauna and that robes etc were available in the room. The dinner was the highlight for me, well presented and of a high quality, there was certainly no need to eat anywhere else. The beer was good too, along with an excellent house white wine. The choice at breakfast was wide and varied and a good selection to suit me which was regularly replenished. The ambience throughout was good. Whilst I did not experience any other facilities in the town, a walk around the centre showed Ehrwald to be an attractive area with a good choice of shops and restaurants. I will certainly be back again and perhaps in the winter season for skiing.

There was nothing to dislike. In fact the hotel was even better than I had expected when booking. Even though the property did not have a garage the reception encouraged me to park my bike under cover at the front of the hotel which was a very nice gesture and very much appreciated.

Hotel in the center of the village of Ehrwald - an excellent location for sightseeing. We had a room on the garden side with a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountains. At breakfast we enjoyed the bread and juices, which can be squeezed by yourself from individually selected fruits and vegetables.

I would slightly improve the coffee machine - only one "device", in addition, a little slow caused a queue. The building was certainly adapted to modern standards, but room with the bathroom without a door right after the entrance is quite an extravagance of the designer (fortunately the toilet was separate, with the door)

The location was in the town center and very convenient to shopping and local restaurants; however, it was a little loud with windows open to let in fresh air. The view from our room (207) was spectacular. I could lie down and see the snow covered mountain. Looking out the other direction I saw the Zugspitze! Breakfast spread was fantastic: breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, cereals, jams, yoghurt, fruits. Staff was friendly and helpful. The extras made the stay special: warm robes, slippers, towel warmers, rain shower head, a beautiful patio with lounge chairs, and 80s music in the restaurant! From the refreshing drink at registration to the sincere goodbye at check out, we loved our stay at Der Grune Baum Mountain Boutique Hotel!

I booked a single room, and it appeared to be renovated. Room size was fine and, despite facing the street, it was quiet. I liked that the room didn't have carpet! The bed was comfortable, the TV had some English stations, the shower was excellent. Parking was easy just behind the hotel. Breakfast was outstanding with bacon and scrambled eggs included. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Traveled up from the South Tyrol. Don't buy petrol there, as it's way more expensive than in Austria or Germany!
