Breakfast was hearty and filling, with a warm and friendly service. You definitely need the energy in the morning, as Obergurgl is a wonderful destination for hiking. The alpine climate is special — we didn’t notice any of the heatwaves or storms at all.

Loved the food, modern and cleanliness of the hotel. Rooms a bit cosy for two adults and two children but otherwise a great stay.

Modern and minimalist in style

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied, but the evening meals were basic and small servings, this could be improved by the addition of a salad buffet.

Staff were so helpful and friendly (particularly the Hungarian young woman who was on reception/waitress/bar - sorry didn’t get her name), food was lovely and well priced, rooms big and pool/sauna area very nice.

A fridge in the room would be the only suggested improvement I could make.

The location is great, the staff very friendly. The food options could be improved for breakfast and evening.

The fact that the staff doesn’t speak German and the pop radio music at breakfast and dinner time. Also the Tyrolean themed dinner night was awful. The food not good.

Room too small; meal portions barely adequate and nothing special, food salty. No private balcony. No kettle or fridge.

Location at about 100 m from lift, arrival form snow at 50 m.

For the fact that the hotel is 4-star, breakfast was extremely summary, with very little imagination or taste. The room itself, while spacious enough, had an 'interesting' type of open cupboards, like we were living in a dressing with a bed. Evening food was mostly bland, in our opinion something a decent trattoria would never serve. Service was kind and forthcoming for as much as they could muster, as everything was made as efficient as possible, with little room for what would comprise 4-star service. Sauna was a disaster. No way to cool off outside, children in de sauna shower instead of the showers near the pool.
