Beautiful room, wonderful terrace, great breakfast. A lovely restful stay in a nice town. Owner kindly warned us that the market square parking would be closed because of the market on the day of our arrival. No problems at all

the Tannerie is a gem located right in the centre of Balen. The garden and pool are an unexpected delight, offering quiet peaceful respite in the centre of the town. Parking is convenient right our front in the central market. Clear instructions for check-in were provided when the hosts were unable to meet us, even being available via phone for assistance. The rooms are modern and incredibly comfortable with all the essentials. Overall, a first-class B&B experience in small-town Belgium! We will be back for more :)

Super beautiful, picturesque place. It’s on the countryside; once inside this beautiful old building with its serene garden with pool area, you almost forget the B&B is actually located inside a small town center with all amenities nearby. Well worth a detour!

I can imagine it could get a bit hot inside on a sunny day.

We had a relaxing weekend (2 adults and 1 infant of 2 months). Everything was perfect. The reception was warm and very professional, everything was perfectly arranged, clean, spacious, the thermostat changed the temperature of the room in a few moments, the decoration was beautiful, each object blending well with the others, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large with a bathtub where two adults can easily relax, the terrace was large and well oriented. The breakfast was varied and very copious, there was a self var with many varieties of beer and wine at reasonable prices. The weekend I spent was exceptional. I will return and recommend this place to everyone.

Everything was super!

We had to rush to take the cars away from the parking lot before 11:00 due to a Friday market just outside, and it was a bit stressful, although mentioned already during the check in.
