Restaurant on the ground floor was good and lively. At least we liked what we ordered. Large bed and comfortable mattress. Large room with sofa and bathtub. Lift outside the property so you don’t need to go through reception when going to your room. Room seemed renovated.

Hard to park at night so we had to park far and bring our car back closer when most restaurant guests left. Not related to the property but roads leading to it are poorly maintained and dangerous because speed limit does not comply with road conditions.

the staff was really friendly. we arrived without a reservation for the restaurant. it was really busy but they managed to provide us with a table. we enjoyed a good glass/bottle of wine with great food. afterwards we really enjoyed sitting next to the river. the rooms were great and clean. overall a very good experience, would love to go there again.

one small remark: window at garden side could be faded so people sitting on the terrace can’t see us. now we had to close the curtain of the bathroom.

What a lovely location! The whole place is nestled into its own little side the hill. The facilities, rooms are modern, clean and all put together with some taste. I speak no French (and definitely not Flemish!) But it made no difference, all the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Restaurant food was also very good.

There was nothing to 'dislike'. I guess some USB charging points in the bedroom... Oh, my mobile reception inside the building was really bad, but I hardly see that being any fault of the hotel, more like local geography. But there is hotel wi-fi, which worked well.

Very nice and cosy hotel. The restaurant was great, the saloon was very relaxed and the rooms were perfect. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the garden was great, next to thé river with a beautiful garden. It was a pitty that i was only there for 1 night and needed to leave early.

Nothing.

We stayed one night at La Passerelle ('The Footbridge'), Chene-a-Han, near Grandhan, en route further south, but now intend to return to it as a destination in its own right. The hotel is fine, good without being magnificent, but the setting - by a bend in the river Ourthe - the staff and the food make it special. The original footbridge is long gone and is now a road bridge, meaning the hotel can be approached from either the east or the west, irrespective of what maps or satnavs might tell you. Clearly, booking is essential for the restaurant, as people had driven from many miles away, including from the Netherlands, to dine here.

We just love this hotel. We keep coming back. It was our third time and we love it so much 😊

very clean and the bed it’s very comfortable. also it’s nice place to stay because not busy location and so relaxing.

doesn’t set up mini bar. so we need go to downstairs to the receptionist just to grab water .
