Stunning hotel, beautiful grounds , friendly and helpful staff and host . Room was very comfortable , clean , tidy . We had family room on top floor. Very steep stairs to access and no lift so need to carry suitcases up long way . Room was on two levels . Main master bedroom , lounge , bathroom and separate toilet on lower floor . 4 single beds in attic accessed by very steep narrow circular stairs - not suitable for young children , quite dangerous . Only 1 power socket in attic and no wardrobes , tables , bedside cabinets , lights in attic ! Very basic and low ceilings. One toilet on main lower floor only. Bathroom with separate rain shower and large bathtub . Main room was spacious , light and bright with ample storage and very comfortable . WiFi was good. Breakfast was buffet continental and plenty of choice . Would highly recommend for a quiet relaxing stay but not for a family with young children.

Excellent location for visiting the local area. We had booked the property to visit the Kasteel brewery previously, and returned on this trip to do so again. We brought bikes with us and the local bars and restaurants are all easily accessible by bike or on foot. We also used the local train station for a day out to Bruges which was a short journey and easy to navigate. Our host, Lady of the house, Laurence is amazing. Her communication prior to us arriving and her care and attention to our needs while visiting was nothing short of fantastic. Laurence ensures you feel like royalty while you are under her roof. Breakfast is delicious with a wide range of options available, all served in a beautiful dining room overlooking the gorgeous gardens. The communal drawing room has an honesty bar and stocks all sorts of lovely drinks for your perusal. We didn't get to use the hot tub this visit but, previously we had the sheer luxury of reclining in the warm bubbles while drinking champagne from the house bar all by ourselves. This is our second visit and we are already looking at a third in the summer so we can have use of the pool!

Beautiful little castle which has been renovated with a great view of details and quality. Grand garden with old trees and a pool.

Check in time was only at 17:00 and the owners have been flexible also agreed that I could stay in the garden and pool after check out in the morning

As we drove along the road it was a little daunting, but once we turned off the road onto the driveway, the property is very impressive, standing in well maintained grounds. We had an early breakfast and everything provided was fresh and well presented.

We had an amazing weekend at Ter Wallen. The place is beautiful, tastfully renovated, within a green and quiet garden. Perfect for a short break. Very clean, and the staff was lovely. Highly recommend.

Nothing of importance! The only note: if you re a tea lover, bring your own, their selection is quite basic.

Fantastic countryside mansion surprisingly close to the village centre. We loved the evening dip to the swimming pool and breakfast served to the terrace with a view to the huge garden and bird pond. Safe storage for bikes was provided. Staff were helpful, room gigantic and value top notch.

As it is an old house the sound isolation isn't quite perfect, you could hear people passing on the corridor and toilets flushing, but nothing from the rooms themselves, so really not a deal breaker for us.

Tucked away in center of town is this amazing landscaped castle with great views. We were greeted at the front door by the owners and was given a royal welcome. Our room was located on the top floor and had views in both the front and the rear with a balcony, overlooking gardens, the flowers and the pond. The room was top notch with very modern amenities and very well thought out. We had robes laid out for use in the hot tub, which we enjoyed in the evening after our walk around town, then the gardens, then the pond and over the bridge. It was so peaceful. We asked for a recommendation for dinner and was directed into town where we enjoyed our 32nd anniversary dinner at Oude Sint-Pieter. The walk into town is short and close to a church. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Check out was very easy. Lots of parking.

Beautiful property, nice room. Convenient location for Brugge, Gent, Brussels and Antwerpen. Excellent breakfast for a B&B! Althought Izegem is a small town, there were a couple of nice restaurants close by.

The price displayed to me when booking for 4 people seemed to not match the expectations of the hotel. They contacted me to notify that I had only paid for 2 people and that I needed to pay extra for the additional 2 people. This was uncomfortable.

Wow, what a fabulous place to stay! The castle is lovely and the gardens are stunning. All facilities on hand. Lovely pool and jacuzzi, coffee machine and honesty bar. Breakfast was outstanding.
