The look of the property and feel when staying here is homely and relaxing. The food was great and the staff ever so polite and friendly and helpful. The building has mix of new and old to it very characterful.

The roadside location isn’t ideal as we had a dog. Although there is one forest walk that takes you away from the roads( there is very little footpaths to the country roads). The bedroom was a little dated in the bathroom needing regroutting as there was some black mould near the bath tub on the tiles and the sink tap was not secure.

Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff room was nice ,lovely breakfast, didn't use the restaurant on the evening as I was in a group of four guys and we preferred to go into the small town for a meal and a few drinks, however if I'd been visiting with my wife I would have used it as it was a beautiful setting over looking garden and woodlands, staff sorted a taxi into town and the manager picked us back up as we couldn't get a taxi back. This was sorted before we went into the town.we were on motorbikes and left them out on the front of hotel wit about 3 others middle off country side no security issues. You can park on a lower part of the carpark which is out of the way ,but it's a gravel carpark so we all parked at the front.

Not to much of a problem, but booking. Com say the town is a 1.4 km walk if I remember rightly, the road is about that.but not really safe to walk so you need to take the walking path which is about 3km which was advised by hotel.

The main building is currently under construction, but it did not affect our stay anyhow. The personnel at the reception and at the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very nice, the food were really tasty. The cabin is not far from the main road, but it is still very quiet. The area is very relaxing, nice view to the river and the forest through the large glass wall. Really felt like we are part of the nature. The room was warm and clean. Great breakfast delivered to the room. Plenty of space for parking. The whole place s amazing.

Mobile signal is almost out of reach and so was the free wifi in cabin 3. This is not really a big issue if you go there to relax, but worth keeping in mind if you need to stay connected to the world during your stay. A small semi-roof would be nice over the outside hot bath in rainy season. The logs for the stove to heat up the bath were soaking wet, it was quite challenging to keep the fire alive. The sauna does not actually belongs to the room, it is shared with two other cabin, which was also okay, but better keep in mind if you do not reserve in time you might have to re-schedule your afternoon. It seems to be a lot of negative comment, but it really isn't. The stay in this place is very relaxing and comforting.

The location, the architecture, the swimming pool and the rooms.

Considering we were in Belgium, which is supposed to be the home of excellent food. It was not great. Would have preferred simple food rather than overly complicated small portions which pretty average.

Room was very spacious with a large modern bathroom separating the main guest bedroom, with a double bed, from a second bedroom containing two singles. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and staff were friendly and unobtrusive. There appeared to be plenty of free parking.

The weather prevented us from making use of the extensive grounds surrounding the hotel. At the time of our stay the hotel was undergoing some major renovation work. Although it didn't interfere with our stay or prove to be an issue it did mean that some areas of the hotel were dimly lit.

Fantastic location and facilities, friendly staff, super dog friendly, awesome breakfast. Parking and restaurant, service by the pool/terrace. The spa was amazing for our taste.

Only small issue, the balcony door was a bit faulty and needs looking at, but not a huge bother.

We absolutely loved the location, the view of the river and the hill behind it. The room was most comfortable and the balcony was a definite plus! The staff was most helpful and the breakfast was varied and tasty !

The hotel was undergoing a renovation and will be even nicer when complete! the proximity to town is perfect just a mile or so. Heavily wooded are and most relaxing

Delicious and tasty breakfast. Friendly staff who escorted us to our room. Good restaurant. Building is a combination of modern and old, very beautiful.

They are till renovating the hall on the second floor (at the time that we stayed there). Room itself was renewed! Door of the room was an old one.

What I loved about the hotel was that it was very clean and quiet, and the staff was very friendly. But the best advantage is that there are plenty of activities to do in the area. It’s centrally located for hiking, exploring nature, walking, visiting the dam, and so much more.

I really like the breakfast. it was rich. and the location is perfect, we spent time near the river at night. and the room was pretty clean.

there was no air conditioning in the room and the weather was 32c. so this was the worst thing. and i think the rooms are a bit small.
