Loved the beautiful resort, included amenities, and most of the food and drinks. The staff were pleasant most of the time. Especially Mr. Bob. He’s fantastic, informative about Belize, super nice and helpful.

The price of food on the resort and the wait for food was unreasonable at times. The pasta I ordered one night was not good and I informed them and received no discount or have the food taken off after not eating it.

The hotel has a lovely, peaceful vibe and beautiful colonial-style decor. There’s plenty of greenery around and a nice pool – perfect for relaxing. I especially appreciated the idea of morning coffee on the beach at sunrise – such a unique and thoughtful touch. The rooms are spacious, with a huge bed and a large balcony where you can truly unwind. Definitely a place worth recommending for those looking for comfort and character.

The restaurant staff often made mistakes with our orders – a few times we received something different than what we had asked for. We were also talked into ordering very expensive drinks that we didn’t really want. The exception was the manager from Chile – he was genuinely attentive, cared about the guests, and spoke with everyone with sincere interest. His commitment and kindness really stood out to us. The beach had strong waves and quite a lot of seaweed during our stay, but this didn’t affect our opinion of the hotel – it's something beyond their control.

Blown away. Fairly new resort but feels like a timeless, historic mix of Hemingway, colonial and Caribbean. The interior design, materials and grounds make it one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Absolutely gorgeous and literally on the beach. From inside to outside, there were no disappointments and entirely delightful. We took pictures of every room in the lodge and every bit of the exterior dining and pool area to remember how beautiful it was. The service staff were all wonderful people. Extremely attentive, friendly and caring. Food was fresh and very good, but not as creative and delicious as their sister resort Ka'ana. Unbelievable pool and beach areas. Fun snorkeling and fly fishing excursions were easy from the hotel marina across the street. Placencia town is short 15 minute ride and good for a night or two. We also dined at Turtle Inn, which was a treat. I've always wanted to stay at Turtle, but now having seen both, I'd vote for Itz'ana.

While the service staff is excellent, the front desk and concierge service lags behind a bit. Not quite as energetic, definitely not as on the ball, and made a few errors with our transportation and excursion schedules. So, keep on your toes with them. Drinks are good, but the wine list is really bad. Even by the bottle. They need to up the wine game, big time.

A blend of modern facilities with Colonial and Caribbean vibes, which make the place really beautiful. The rooms are spacious with a great terrace (ours overlooked the pool). The infinity pool is stunning, surrounded by palm trees and gardens with birds, gibnuts and iguanas roaming free. The beach area is great too. The whole place is quiet too which felt like we had the place just for us. Food was good, although it could have been better (see below).

The continental breakfast included in the price was a bit basic and disappointing.

DELPHIN AND CLARICE WERE PARTICULARLY ATTENTIVE AND HELPFUL...THEY WENT THE EXTRA MILE DAY AFTER DAY.

The food could be better. I ordered fish and chips with tzatziki and the staff not only tried to give me a dressing with ketchup but actually didn't know what tzatziki was.

The property was clean and relaxing. The drivers were friendly and polite. Overall, excellent staffing working on the property.

There was no complimentary bottle of water in the room. All beverages taken from the fridge would be charged to account at check out. Also, the fee charged for breakfast should have more options. The Continental breakfast is the only option which I consider to be a light breakfast . It only offered a plate of fruit, coffee, with a two pastries and toast.

The property was beautiful. The staff was excellent. I only wish it was closer to Belize city.

A beautiful and well kept property. Great staff. The beach was great Room was good sized. In room eco water filter was nice. Private patio opened onto gorgeous infinity pool with beach view

Only one luggage rack so one suitcase was on the floor the whole time No golf cart available for rent

Perfectly located on the peninsula. Close "enough" to town for dinners and shopping, remote enough to not be bombarded with crowds.
