This review is on behalf of my parents who loved every bit of their stay: We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful beachfront location, with stunning views right from the terrace. The owner is incredibly kind, speaks several languages, and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. The food, all cooked by the owner himself, was a highlight, especially the delicious New Year’s Eve dinner, which we celebrated together in such a warm and festive atmosphere. When we had a small issue with the bathroom, it was immediately taken care of with great attention and care. Exploring the area was easy thanks to the convenient driver service, as taxis are hard to find. If you’re looking for a place where you feel safe, relaxed, and truly at home away from home, this is it!

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The owner is exceptionally helpful, speaks multiple languages, and goes above and beyond to assist with every detail of your stay. One of the highlights was definitely the food, cooked by the owner himself. Every meal was delicious, and it’s especially convenient since there are very few restaurants in the area. Another fantastic feature is the driver service. If you’re planning to explore, having a driver is essential as taxis are hard to come by, and this service made everything so much easier. Lastly, the location is unbeatable. Situated directly on the beach, you can enjoy the sound of the waves and breathtaking views right from the terrace. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and seamless getaway!

This was already my third stay at the Tahiti Hotel. The rooms are super nice and neat, views more than beautiful and the place is located in the most beautiful part of the city, if you ask from me. The owner and the staff make you really feel like you’re having a home from home. My absolute favourite is to come out in the morning, take a little swim in the pool, enjoy my brekkie with the amazing seaview from the restaurant. Then just a short beachwalk away and you enter a most amazing beach and surfspot. Also on some days the chilled out rooftop terrace can be all you need for a nice remote working spot or just a place to rest your thoughts for a moment. I hope to be back soon again.

The staff is just amazing, Marco and son are super nice and helpful. The location is great little off the center which is a plus - you can relax here. The WiFi works very good. The breakfast is just fine. Right on the beach, you can enjoy looking at the sea. The staff speaks French and the owners multiple languages so you will have very good contact. Probably the best value in the city. I was three days and prolonged to 6 days it was so good. I will remember this place and the people working in it. Great words re the staff, all ladies are very cool and always smiling. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Recommended for all kind of travellers.

The location was excellent. It was right in the middle of town. The staff were exceptionally good. Marco the owner and his son made the stay very welcoming. It felt like a home away from home. Staff spoke English and were always willing to help.

The hotel doesn't accept payment cards, and everything has to be cash. I had changed some local currency, but this wasn't enough, so I had to pay in USD cash. It would be great if they could accept cards. The facilities are a bit dated and the place will do with some renovation work. Though not the fault of the hotel, there's now a coastal road that cuts across the beach, so sitting on the patio, you are looking at the road. The road has not opened to traffic when I visited, but I can only imagine what damage it will do to the hotel when it opens

We went for two weeks to Cotonou and stayed at the Tahiti Hotel in Rooms 11 and 12 which were double rooms connected by a door, each with en suite facilities. The hotel is in a gorgeous position, so near to the sea that it can be heard all the time! The eastern side of Cotonou was hardly mentioned in our guidebook, but we found nearby cafes. restaurants, pharmacies and shops. We would recommend that you look closely at Google Map to see how nice the position of this hotel is! Cotonou's transport is heavily motorbike reliant, with a handful of taxis and 250,000 motorcycles! The motorcyclists for hire have a yellow bib with a number on the back. CFA200-300 for a short ride and CFA 500 for a longer ride [£1 = CFA750]. They can be hired near the hotel. The complementary breakfast from 7.30 to 11am was great: fresh french bread, butter, plain or Spanish omelette, as well as cheese triangles, jam and honey, with tea or coffee or hot chocolate. The staff were excellent, and they quickly improved the rooms with supplies of coat hangers, a functioning satellite TV and a side table. The kitchen produced a large and varied high quality menu: from chicken and chips, via pizzas, fahitas and schwarmas to spaghetti bolognese, chicken yassa and steak sandwiches. The food came in generous portions and was fresh and delicious. There was no fridge in the rooms, but very cold fridges were a few metres away in the Reception. You could get water, soft drinks and beer. You could even help yourself and the receptionist just added it to your bill. We paid the daily invoice at the end of the evening and cleared our slate for the next day. The restaurant area had three areas: one slightly 'indoors', one facing the beach and a sandy beach area. An upstairs platform area was being constructed. The swimming pool was a busy area for us! The swimming pool was a little murky at the start, but the active manager got it chemically cleaned. The wifi was strong and well used!

The rooms were a little rundown and dusty, but they were spuced up with extra facilties very quickly.

Perfect stay, the owner of the property, Marco, was so friendly. He made sure we were comfortable. The hotel picked us up at the airport, but they even arranged transportation to our activities in the weekend. The food was great, personnel was very nice and the resort was clean. You have excellent access to the beach and the view from the upper terrace is very nice. I would certainly recommend this place. We stayed here one night, but came back the next weekend when we were in Cotonou. And surely Marco will see us return again!

Some of the infrastructure in the rooms was somewhat outdated. We had a dripping tap in the bathroom. But this was no big deal considering everything else was so great!

The location by the lake is just beautiful. It is a perfect place to chill out. Staff is very friendly and there is a small "center" close by (walking distance) with a few bars/ restaurants and shops. Over all price/quality ratio is good.

The site is a bit challenging to reach. Probably later on there will be a better road. No hot water and many mosquites - which I knew.

Love the facilities: swimming pool, bar, terrace and restaurant. Love the space in the bungalow with living room and separate bedroom. Love the location: nice and safe area with a beautiful view over the sea. Love the weather: warm and sunny average 34 degres Celsius on a daily 🌞 The hotel manager, Marco and his assistant Stefy are giving us a warm welcome and make you feel home on a daily.

The staff was the best part of our stay at Tahiti Hotel, Marco and his staff are super helpful, friendly and warm people who work hard to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. It is also right on the water which was great for dipping our toes after a long day

The rooms need a bit of work and there can be uses with running water but this is common across the country and not particular to Tahitit.
