Karien, Riaan and their don Daniel were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The location of the property is breathtaking and the rooms were large and clean with amazing views over the coved beach. We really enjoyed the fresh fruit at breakfast every morning. It's a beautiful part of the island and we felt we were living in a postcard photo for 3 days.

Amazing everything. We did not expect such great meals. Rionn is an amazing chef and Karien is the sweetest host and most attentive you could imagine. We rented a private boat tour every day with the hosts and it was very affordable and a lot of fun! Tudo incrível. Não esperávamos refeições tão deliciosas. We had a fantastic 8-day stay at Vila Pedra Mar! The goal of this trip was to relax and do nothing, and we did exactly that (well with a few amazing boat trips, jungle walks, and tons of snorkeling/swimming sprinkled in haha). Karien and Riann are excellent hosts, providing top-notch service to you throughout your stay. They are super kind and welcoming, also very helpful/flexible with booking and arranging things (e.g. boat trips and car transfers to/from the pousada). The Vila Pedra Mar team members are also very kind and helpful, making the stay extra comfortable such as tidying up the room every morning and evening. We appreciated everyone's amazing hospitality while we were there, always with warm smiles. The property is great with amazing snorkeling right off the dock! We saw many fishes and turtles just off their dock (and even stingrays on the boat trips to other beaches/islands). The walk to the fishing village is very short and easy (both Ponta da Barca and Frezza are nice restaurants to have lunch at, with Ponta da Barca being our favorite for the food and service). Both restaurants take credit/debit card. Riann's dinner service was delicious, a nice array of dishes (plenty of fresh seafood) and Karien's island-style eggs in the morning were always perfect. The bed is super comfy with the softest sheets and pillowcases. The a/c unit worked very well in the rooms. I also can't forget about their lovely cat, Nescau! He was such a relaxed and friendly kitty, living a great life on the island :) Overall, we had the best vacation here and hope to return one day!

Riann, Karinne and Daniel were super friendly and helpful - booking a (very reasonably priced) boat tour and helping us arrange our transport to/from the Vila. If you don't speak Portuguese it's very difficult to understand scheduled boat timings, where they stop and how to buy tickets, so the hosts' knowledge was very helpful. With just 3 rooms you get to know others staying there, as well as the hosts. This was the most upmarket place we stayed on the island and deserves its high ratings.

Our room, although big and with a fab view, didn't have any outside space (I think the others do) but there is a small deck with loungers, and the village beach is 2 minutes' walk away. While it wasn't a problem for us, if you have trouble with stairs it's worth noting that the hotel is built into the hillside and there are lots of steps.

An unforgettable stay at Vila Pedra Mar! Our experience at Pousada Vila Pedra Mar was simply exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with great attention and hospitality by the owners, Karien and Riann, who genuinely love what they do. Every detail of the inn reflects their care and dedication to providing guests with a unique experience. Our room was impeccable: extremely clean, comfortable, and equipped with air conditioning, ensuring perfect nights of rest after days spent exploring the beauties of Ilha Grande. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay! A true feast, filled with delicious options: fresh bread, cereals, seasonal tropical fruits, pancakes, and much more. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and served with great attention. The location is another major advantage. Situated on Praia Vermelha, the inn is in a peaceful area with calm, crystal-clear waters. Additionally, they offer incredible speedboat tours to explore the region's paradise-like beaches, making the experience even more special. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, there are plenty of leisure options, such as diving, speedboat trips to stunning beaches, and trails leading to breathtaking landscapes of Ilha Grande. Finally, the atmosphere at the inn is incredibly welcoming, providing a sense of familiarity and exclusivity. The service is delivered with an impressive attention to detail, ensuring a stay filled with warmth and comfort.

Everything! Vila Pedra Mar is everything you could hope for on the island. Gorgeous rooms and a port to get dropped off directly by boat from the mainland. The location is perfect - it’s quiet enough that you can almost have the beach to yourself, but also can walk to 3 different restaurants in 2-3 mins for lunch, or many more within ~40 mins or so if you want to do the lovely coastal/jungle-y hike to a bigger beach. The snorkelling around the Vila’s big rocks is amazing (even if we weren’t lucky enough to spot the sea turtles!). The hosts are wonderful. They’ll contact you in advance to help you book the boat. Every day they’ll help you with whatever you want to do (boat trips, hiking etc) and cook you brilliant meals (‘island style’ eggs each morning and shrimp rice for dinner were personal favourites of mine).

Karien, Riaan and Daniel (plus the rest of the staff) are fantastic hosts, who went above and beyond to make our stay one of our favourite places in our recent trip to Brazil. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable, and provide a lovely base from which to explore the island. Riaan is a fantastic chef, and all the food we ate was better than local restaurants. Riaan also kindly catered for my partner, who is vegan. The jetty has sun loungers to relax on and watch the sunset, and the beach is truly beautiful... Don't think twice about booking Vila Pedra Mar, it's a complete hidden gem. We'll definitely be back!

The only thing that could have been improved was the shower in our room, but everything else completely surpassed our expectations.

Everything was perfect. The view through the room window is simply breathtaking. The breakfast is wonderful and the dinner (included in the price) is excellent. Riann and Karien are fantastic hosts and will do everything they can to make you live an unforgettable experience. Room and decoration are extraordinary fine. Finally a word to describe the surrounding landscape: you will feel you are in the paradise.

Vila Pedra Mar is a unique place. If you are looking for peace, beautiful views and communion with nature - this is the place for you. Karien and Riann are wonderful hosts. You will feel like family with them. They will help you organize boat trips, take care of your transport to and from the hotel and make your time in Vila Pedra Mar unforgettable.
