Staying at Cris Hotel was a great experience! The location is unbeatable — literally steps away from the sands of Joaquina Beach, my favorite beach in Florianópolis. My room had an incredible oceanfront view, with the sound of waves and seagulls creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxing. I couldn’t bring myself to close the balcony curtains, savoring the breathtaking view every moment I was in the room — even as I fell asleep or woke up. Don’t miss the sunrise over the Joaquina rocks — it’s a magical experience worth waking up early for! The hotel’s location is about a 30-minute walk to Avenida das Rendeiras, which connects to Lagoa da Conceição’s charming center on the left and to Mole and Barra da Lagoa beaches on the right. Nearby, you’ll find local shops with beachwear, souvenirs, and surf gear, plus a cozy cafe and a few restaurants. Breakfast provides plenty of vegetarian options, gluten and lactose-free cakes, and my personal favorite: freshly made crepes. The coffee machine offering cappuccinos and mochaccinos was a delightful touch. The reception staff was friendly and always helpful, and they kindly stored my luggage on arrival and departure days so I could make the most of my time.

While the surrounding area has enough for a short stay, the local shops and restaurants are quite basic if you have dietary restrictions. For a more diverse selection or a supermarket, you’ll need to venture to Lagoa da Conceição, which can be challenging during high-season traffic. Also, the room was on the third floor with no elevator, though a helpful staff member carried my bags up. Early check-in and late check-out weren’t available due to high occupancy, but the staff made up for it with excellent service.

This hotel is located on a beautiful beach, offering a relaxing coastal vibe. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, though options for a decent supermarket or buffet-style dining are limited. Our room was spacious, with a cozy balcony that provided a lovely sea view. The air conditioning worked well, and the refrigerator was pleasantly quiet. While the shower could have been a bit hotter, it was still serviceable. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and available 24/7, which made our stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good variety of options. One standout feature of the hotel is its inviting common area, equipped with sofas, tables, a kettle, and a coffee maker—perfect for relaxing or socializing. The large balcony area, complete with sun loungers, is ideal for soaking up the sun. Overall, a great spot for a beachside getaway!

The place is superior. The room we initially booked was quite good, but we had a problem with the safe. I personally only expected a similar room, but we got an UPGRADE for FREE. For the entire stay, we could enjoy a bigger room with a jacuzzi. The place itself is cozy. The staff is amiable and professional: they addressed our needs throughout the whole stay, and even when we had a medical emergency, they calmly helped out, and then directed us to the nearest emergency point. Also, breakfasts there are something else. We didn't get lucky with the weather, but I imagine Praia Joaquina is stunning when it is sunny. Also, there are a lot of sandboard facilities and dunes nearby. 9.5 out of 10, would absolutely stay again.

The only suboptimal thing about the hotel is the location. Praia de Joaquina is great - WHEN the weather is good. But on the flipside, if you ever need to go out, or require anything beside the very basic facilities (like a drug store), the nearest is about 20 minutes by car. So, if something happens at night, the only thing you can do is order an Uber. Other then that, however, all is great.

We loved the location and even it was a little bit far from the centre there is public transportation that is really easy to use or uber. During the day there are several places where to eat and drink (caipiriñas in the local near to the hotel were great!) The staff was really helpful and nice, they were always helping to each question we have and have a lot of recommendations. The breakfast was amazing, but like we were 9 days kind we saw always the same things so at the end you can get bore a little bit of the same. But anyway, has several options which is good!

The view is spectacular. The price was very reasonable.

There was construction so it wasn't completely clean.

That’s my second time staying at Cris Hotel and I must say the location is the main reason why we chose this hotel. It’s one of my favourite beaches in Floripa so no wonder I like staying here. Staff are extremely friendly, big shout out to Igor who was so helpful and gave great tips about nearby tourist places.

At night there is a restaurant nearby that turns into a big party between midnight till 5am that plays really loud music so we couldn’t sleep during our stay. I’m not sure how often they do that but I remember the first time wasn’t like this. I had to use noise cancelling headphones so I could fall back asleep.

Great people, easy access to town

The overall booking procedure was a bit of a frustration. I wanted to book two rooms but accidentally booked three. Trying to cancel the third booking was extremely difficult and put both myself and the hotel manager in a difficult position. It would be nice if the booking process allowed for cancelation as easily as it is to book a room

Room lighting was horrble. Dim yellow light. Table and chair was cheap plastic making it uncomfortable for anyone who needs to work remotely or spend some time at a table. View of ocean blocked by electrical cables.

Directly on the beach, very spacious and clean rooms and super friendly staff at the reception.

Some of the facilities in the room were a bit run down but overall it was perfectly fine. Not well connected with public transport but if you have your own or with uber it's perfectly fine.

The view is amazing, the breakfast is very good (I loved the pão de queijo every morning), 24 hours Reception, park place and staff is so friendly. So near the beach, please choose a room with view!

The rooms are very simple, so don't expect much comfort. No towel rack in the bathroom.
