The hotel's location and value are stupendous. We could reach downtown and lots of attractions in some 15 minutes in a leisurely pace. There was a pharmacy nearby, a supermarket and plenty of restaurants (besides the two on site ones) in the neighborhood. Breakfast is a sight to behold - while very carb rich, the variety of cakes and local pastries was enough to satisfy the sweetest of sweet tooth. The two restaurants for dinner made for a nice experience at an OK price. Our room, while not large, had lots of room for storage, which is something my wife values a lot.

Our room, on the first floor, above one of the restaurants, would smell like food at night - not terrible but if you're a big hungry and trying to sleep a little early, it can absolutely be a bother. The room's bathroom and room had older fixtures that could stand to be changed. The room had a distinct lack of power outlets - luckily I carry a few adapters with me so it wasn't a problem but I'm sure less prepared travelers might have a problem. While the wifi worked well, the equipment they use isn't up to modern standards (routers running as improvised APs) - it wasn't terrible but it could be a problem when under high demand. Also, as mentioned in the positives, the breakfast is very carb heavy which is not necessarily bad but they could do with more cold cuts and protein variety.

The breakfast is amazing, especially the pão de queijo and the orange juice.

It is very noisy, as if the walls are paper thin. As soon as people start to wake up for breakfast at 6:30, you won’t be able to sleep anymore, because of the yelling in the corridors and doors slamming.

Great rooms with new sheets, good mattress, heat and big windows.

It wouldn’t be a claim, but the fireplace it wasn’t lighted in colder days.
