Price is a bit too high. If I do business, I would take full booked and little low price rather than expensive and still available room left.

Breakfast should have more options

The rooms were large & nice, with a comfy bed, a small fridge & a huge shower. The hotel was 1 block back from the beach. The pool was shaded by the buildings & looked nice, but we didn't try it. The breakfast buffet was good, with nice handmade omelets made right in front of you. The staff ordered us a very cheap & efficient tuk-tuk to our ferry in the morning, about a 30-minute ride for US$4.50.

The rooms lacked a table for our laptops. None of the rooms had a view of the beach. They all looked at the other wing of rooms, so you had to close blinds. None of the breakfast dishes in the buffet were described in English, just Khmer. Strangely, there was no hot water when I tried to shower at midnight, & We had 10 big bees come into our room at night, one at a time, attracted by our light. They didn't really bother us, & they were easy enough to kill with a paper napkin, but we don't know how they got in, as everything was closed up. Both of these issues were mentioned to the staff when we checked out. The staff were nice, but didn't speak much English, so we were never sure if what we said was understood.

I have been coming a couple of times per year to Chan for about 5 years now. Its really nicely new built hotel with really nice modern design touch built around a huge pool (accessible from the balconies of the ground-floor rooms!) Its been for us the go to hotel when visiting Sihanoukville and transiting to the Islands at the end of what used to be idyllic Otres 2 beach. I think its the best choice price/quality hotel for sure for Westerners. I will be back!

The ever changing staff. They do try their best but they always have to ask ‘the manager’ everything. They never say welcome back although been there dozen of times.. missed chance there to win mor customers.
