Viewing the lake. Finding the old railway station (with difficulty), the old carriages, and its delightful owner. A few local footpaths by the river can be discovered if you are adventurous. Past the railway station I noticed some paths across the river into the woods - not necessarily bear-free like most of the village. Watching the freight trains in the passing loop by the station. Visiting the ski resort - we are not skiers but it's a great ride on the gondola to some super views looking down on Lake Louise at least a thousand feet below across the valley. Good cafes at the bottom, but not at the top perhaps until summer season starts properly? Bear-proof litter bins!

Limited public transport. You really need the bus to get to the lake (later we found that the Brewster touring bus in which we returned to Banff went to the Lake anyway! So I would advise just using that and not bothering with the local transport if you only need a half-hour visit). Useful walking routes poorly signposted and/or blocked by new developments. Could not find good local maps of the village - everything is geared to the Lake and the Ski Resort. Rather poor museum. Possibly in-between seasons - that seems to be a general problem end-May. Cafe by lake not yet open - the Chateau hotel does not allow visitors in. We starve.

The Lake Louise Inn is VERY unique, in that it has not only preserved the original high quality Character of this build of over 50 years ago, but has modernized the extensive buildings, and main Lodge, beautifully ! The Staff is Wonderful !! The cleanliness is exceptional, including the super pool and 2 hot tubs.

It takes a big of planning to make the most of visiting the crowded actual Lakeshore of Lake Louise, even during low Season. That makes the location of Lake Louise Inn even more enjoyable, as it is in a very quiet forest setting, but easy to access from the TransCanada highway. KO

Staff at this property are excellent, friendly, and well trained. The pool is fantastic, and the breakfast is extremely good, not fancy, just very good and consistently delicious. I love the architecture of the lobby and pool, and pasta restaurant on the inside, very well thought out and unique. Room looks dated circa 1980, but I happen to like the older furniture, carpet, and layout, reminds me of happy times, but compared to the Post across the street (where I usually stay, when in the area, though more expensive), it is dated and could use a refresh for the price range.

Bed was very hard and uncomfortable, needs to be updated ASAP to be competitive with other hotels of the same price in the area. It is a deal breaker for a return visit for me. I don't know if it was just in the room we were in, or if this is a problem over the whole property, but in any event, I will not take the chance until I know they have addressed this issue.

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly including printing out our national parks pass. The location is fantastic and the facilities are great for what they are - rooms are a bit dated but really homely, and the pool and gym are great.

Room was too warm because no air conditioning. We were warned about this as it is because of their eco-friendly policies - but it felt like there were some inconsistencies there (for example we were given single use takeaway cups). We had a room with two double beds because that was all that was left, but the beds actually proved too small for us as a couple to share one, especially given the heat in the room, so we used one each.

The rooms were huge! They came with everything we needed - kettle, coffee machine, fridge, microwave, hairdryer, safe, body and hair products. The hotel was beautiful with lots of options for dinner. We ate at Legends within the hotel and the food was lovely and reasonable priced, breakfast buffet was also great with lots of choice of full English, pancakes, continental etc. The hotel also had a pool and 3 hot tubs with seating for non-swimmers and free towel use. We were glad for such an amenity-full hotel as we found there wasn’t much to do in Lake Louise.

Mini golf was advertised but wasn’t open in May. No Netflix on the TV which wasn’t an issue for us as we kept busy elsewhere but might be a problem for other travellers.

This was our second time staying at Lake Louise Inn after 12 years, and it was just as memorable as the first. The location is absolutely unbeatable — only a short drive to Lake Louise, which we visited every evening to capture the lake’s beauty in different lighting and moods. It became a special part of our trip to photograph the changing views each day. The inn itself is cozy and convenient, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be close to one of the most iconic spots in the Rockies.

Legend restaurant was one of the favorite spots in the hotel, realli nice enviroment and tasty food. The pool was amaizing and the hot tub zone as well. Really good location, we loved our stay there. The hotel staff was kind and helpull.Bryan in the restaurant was amaizng with us.

The way the staff of the Pizza and Pasta restaurant were with us, disrespectful, they were joking aorund us and they didnt show manners at all, just because we ask for food close to the closing hour. Zero professionals. I work in customer service and even in closing shifs I have to be respectful and helpful.

Very clean, good available on property, good parking. Good breakfast buffet for a fee.

As everywhere the prices for room are getting higher and higher, the pool is too crowded and some treat it as their private pool like 6 teenagers that started playing “throw me into the crowd” or some mommies asking groups of kids to jump into the water together when there are kids and adults trying to swim. Total anarchy. Line swimming not available and adult swims only 30 min starting 9:30 pm. Would be nice to open the pool at 7am so that adults can swim for one hour before breakfast.

Good location in Lake Louise and plenty of free parking. Made use of pool facilities, which were not busy. Very helpful staff, especially Honey, who went beyond to ensure we were able to make the most of our stay. Choice of 2 restaurants onsite. I last visited the Inn in 2009, so while familiar, it has been expanded in the last 16 years.

Due to local parking capacity in and around Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, getting to these facilities has become less easy. We relied on the on-site Fairview coach service to access both.

Price is for the location. Booked lake Louise inn for lake Louise and lake moraine. 6 mins drive to the park and ride to take the park Canada shuttle. 2 in house restaurants which we had dinner at. Water pressure was good. Spacious room. Room a little dated but comfortable. Free parking. Daily housekeeping (not all hotels have).

Pricey but it's the location. No lift but 2nd storey was manageable to move our luggages.
