I spent two nights at the Toulinguet Inn in Twillingate and was especially impressed by the location. The view of the harbor is absolutely stunning – especially from the large balcony. The room itself was spacious, included a small kitchenette, and everything worked perfectly.
That said, there were a few minor drawbacks. The Wi-Fi was noticeably better than in other places I stayed, but it still had occasional outages where nothing worked. The check-in process could definitely be improved – there’s no front desk, and you have to call a number upon arrival to receive instructions. This should have been communicated in advance via email, especially since mobile reception was very poor and calling was difficult. Breakfast is not offered, so you have to go to a nearby restaurant, which was always quite crowded. And as seems to be the norm in Canada, the rooms were very poorly soundproofed.

Super location, near everything but a little away, so it is quiet. Our room was on the first floor and had a water view. There was a nice balcony, but too cold to stay out for very long in May. The kitchenette was perfect, equipped with everything we needed to cook and serve simple meals. The bed was great. Husband and I had a terrific night's sleep. It was wonderful to drive home and not arrive exhausted. The room was spotless. We met cleaner Annie on site and she was great. She showed us the fridge where we could store larger food items. The fridge in our room was not very cold, so we used the big fridge for the stay. Annie also had iceberg ice for sale, which is in our freezer. Delicious and special. We could hear the other guests at the inn. If they were noisy or loud snorers, it might have been harder to sleep as well as we did. There was almost no noise from outside. Good windows and doors. Great temperature in the room. It was cold, but the room was cozy, and not too hot either.
It was a great stay. We would not hesitate to go back again. We did chuckle that the fan hood over the induction stove did not vent anywhere. A bit of food smell lingered until we opened the windows.

More like a bnb type of accommodation, but this place is simply amazing. Right in front of the ocean with a great view. The rooms were spotless and everything was very clean. Facilities were more than I expected, complete with a mini kitchen, fridge, stovetop range, microwave, toaster, dishes, dining table, sofa, a complete bathroom - everything is there and enough that you could live in that room. Would definitely choose this place when I visit Twillingate again.
Nothing, except that I wasn't notified how to check-out and didn't know what to do with the keys. We ended up doing what the guest staying next door did with the keys when they left.

Absolutely beautiful. Unique room with what you need to make a few meals comfortably. Picturesque and peaceful in a beautiful community. If there was a negative it would only be that the patio isn’t as private as we personally prefer but it is most likely good for people who like to chat with the neighbor. We just wanted to be completely on our own. Every detail was awesome. Loved it and would definitely go back there and highly recommend it.
Just the fact that the patio wasn’t private enough for us. We just wanted alone time.

The location is wonderful, overlooking the harbor. Every unit has a deck with a view of the harbor. The owner wasn´t there but he was accommodating. We wanted to come a day early and we stayed in a room in the main house which is charming. Then we moved to one of the suites and that was comfortable but of course, not as spacious. The place was spotless and well set up for all your needs. Annie, the caretaker, was just terrific.
Can´t think of a thing that was off. The suites are small but very workable. I wouldn´t say geared for a long-term stay.

Loved the view from our little balcony and the proximity to the water was great. Everything we might need was available to us. We felt very comfortable. Like we were at home.
Could have used some sort of shade from the sun. The weather was fantastic and sitting outside was wonderful but we had an upstairs room so we couldn't stay outside for very long because the sun was too intense.

Once I found out the house was all ours, with the exception of sharing the facilities with another party, I was happy! The other party was never there during the day.
Nothing to do with the accommodations, but the other party sharing the house had no concept of being quiet. When they arrived dragging their luggage up the stairs the first night, or the second night making/burning pizza at 1130pm!

The inn is spread over two heritage homes in Twillingate, close to where boat tours operate. The unit we had was nicely renovated and there were comfortable and homey common areas available, including a kitchen. The location is good for exploring the area. We never met any staff, but they were available if needed. We enjoyed meeting and talking with other guests.

Directly on the ocean in town. Perfect location for 2 people. We had The Ocean Room, 1 of 4 units. There was a mini fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, small kitchen table withtwo chairs. Fairly modern and updated interior. Nice deck out back facing the Harbour. Really liked this place and would definitely go back and highly recommend it.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The property was very clean. The service was excellent the view from the deck was amazing. It was close access and proximity to everything within Twillingate. Check in and check out was flawless. They brought clean towels and cofee/tea everyday along with other little goodies. Our stay was excellent!
Everything was excellent!
