There was no breakfast, no coffee shop, no restaurant, no swimming pool, and we were not told of this at all. We asked for a lakeside room and, on checking in, were told that we requested a city view room, which was not true. We were not told that the whole hotel was under renovation and there were no amenities, and we were celebrating our anniversary. It was very disappointing.

We could have been told that the hotel was under renovation, we would not have stayed there. the price was really high for what we got. Also we had two king size beds but to share it was impossible to get up at night because each bed was next to a wall. The drawers were almost impossible to open.

The staff member on duty at the front desk was very genial. Our first assigned room was undergoing some work in the bathroom so we took some photos and returned to the desk to advise him of this glitch. He apologized and quickly moved us to a different room. The room was close to the lakeside view so we could keep our eyes on the people travelling by boat to the Safeways store! That was fun. We could also see the kids at the skateboard area at the rec centre across the street so that was encouraging.

There didn’t appear to be a restaurant or a breakfast room at the hotel. I believe that the hotel is undergoing major renovations which is why nothing was available. We did have a coffee in the room in the morning but that was it which was quite disappointing when you’re used to at least some cereal, yogurt, toast, or other items to tide you over until lunch.

The interior design - brand new and we like it very much (kind of Scandinavian style). The bed and pillows really comfortable. Everything super clean and smelled good. Great view over the lake (for extra charge).

There is one very awkward thing about this hotel! There is music 24h coming from speakers in hallways. So, the music continues even during the night - it is not too loud, but it is buffering through the walls (it is party music of some kind - rave/club/disco). So, we needed to keep the AC on - even though we did not need it at all - just to kill the sound a bit. Also, there is no breakfast or kitchen at all. We understand they are still renovating, but they should adjust the price until they have full offering.

The location was convenient for walking to the town centre. The room was quiet and our view from the 7th floor was great. I was happy that there were 4 pillows on the bed. The hotel staff were friendly.

The restaurant was under renovation. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby but the machine was problematic and the paper cups in both the room and the lobby were tiny.

The rooms were quite small. Which made sleeping tight as you’re right next to the wall and have an inch of room for you to get by to go to the washroom. Let’s stay in the middle of the night and the lack of outlet plugs. It’d be nice for there to be outlet plugs on both side sides of the bed.

Location is great and hotel was quiet. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

Hotel stay was pricey though it is one of the highest rated hotels in the Kenora area. There aren't many lodging options available in the area. It would have been nice if breakfast was included in the cost.

There was no breakfast. I liked the room.

I didn’t like that they charged us an additional fee after we were given the total and paid it on the day of arrival. Then today when we handed in the keycard they charged us more for our room. Very disappointed with that. Didn’t satisfy me. Maybe I won’t come back if this is how they treat their patrons. Unhappy in paying an extra fee.

We knew this place was expensive, but this place was worth every penny. The lake view through the wide windows was absolutely beautiful. All hotel staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable and everywhere was clean and nice. We highly recommend it.

We needed more tissues.

Very expensive , no medical rate,staff were not knowledgeable on my questions, ie possibly booking an extra night,, all she said was, “you booked through Booking.com, i dont know”

The hotel not taking any countability, just said “ you booked through booking.com”, didnt really answer what i wanted

Property was extremely clean and modern. Rooms recently renovated and were extremely comfortable. Parking looked safe and secure. Staff were great. Will stay here again for sure next time we pass through Kenora

Some facilities were closed, like the restaurant, but will be worth it when it re-opens.
