The staff were very kind and professional and although outdated, the room was clean.

It’s hard to navigate the parking situation, it could be more clear - it would be helpful if a sign were put by the “doorbell” you need to push when trying to access the parking garage gate, I could not see it and had to call the front desk. They were happy to give me the instructions but it would be ideal to avoid this extra interaction and confusion. The parking garage also leaves a lot to be desired, there is a musty smell when reaching the elevator - it could definitely use some sprucing up.

It was good , enjoyed being served breakfast but it was a little hard to find and felt weird being in the basement (well what felt like the basement) and didn’t like watching the house keeping staff and stuff right near where I was eating

Location, parking was confusing, had to park on the street around the corner as there is only gated parking after you check in. But gated parking made me feel safer as a woman traveling alone so good and bad aspects of it all

I have always like staying at the hotel.

The only thing I disliked witnessing was how Cree people who looked homeless were treated in a negative manner by Hindu Indian staff. They need to be trained in sensitivity training in welcoming First Nations customers, this could also include some Caucasian administrations staff. (Copied for personal file).

Breakfast was good with very helpful friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Large comfortable room. No outside noise. Spotlessly clean.

Area outside the hotel and underground parking lot felt unsafe because of dubious characters under the influence of alcohol. I refused to get into the elevator because of two men under the effects of alcohol. One had a cut on his neck and the other was carrying a bottle. The came through the lobby to get to the elevator.

Beautiful location express check in fantastic staff --- Breakfast preserved rooms spacious looking forward to staying there in the future. Quite close to the Timmins Hospital. To get to your rooms your card acces is needed to start the elevator security measures awesome.

Nothing staff helped me enter and exit the motel I am disabled with a walker and this really helped me getting to and from taxi trips.

My wife and I were very surprised with the quality of the breakfast. We had expected the usual bagels, muffins, and cereal in a serve yourself setting. Instead we were seated and served a nice cooked breakfast of eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and I believe the toast was made from home made bread. Plus all the drinks and sides that would come with a breakfast. :)

I wish the keypad at the entry in the parking garage was working. But they were able to buzz us in if we pressed the ringer.

Just needed a place to stay as we were working in Timmins, everything exceeded our expectations for the price. The breakfast was excellent and all staff were kind and helpful. We decided to play some pool and found a pool hall 180m away so we walked and were able to have a beer as well. Already mentioned it to friends. We need a follow up trip in 2 weeks and will be definitely staying a the Senator

Can't really say anything we didn't like, the building is under renovations and the main street was dug up but that is no refection on the Hotel.

Senator is a very fine hotel that is starting to show age, but still a good place to stay. Overall good facility and good service. It would be an excellent choice for someone travelling on business, or if looking for a solid quiet room in the city. Breakfast choices and service were excellent. Having underground parking is nice, and would be important in Timmins in the winter.

The downtown location may not be preferable for some guests. I had to drive some distance to find a good restaurant and location for hiking. City works interfered with access to parking and front entry.

Great reception, excellent customer service, clean and comfortable rooms, with adequate accessories. Joanne and Adnan at the reception desk were of great assistance in answering most of my questions and rendered a great help. Thanks to them.... Overall, my family had a lovely stay.

Very kind service and lovely staff.

A little bit too far from the airport ( $30-$35 by taxi), no shuttle bus service, the phone doesn't work in the room, the AC is too noisy, and regular breakfast is included with a free smile service. The building itself looks like from the 60th, not new. The fee shouldn't be more than $100.00, nice view from the window, lol Food shopping in the area: Metro store + good selection of wine/ beer, Shopper Drug Mart, Wendy's restaurant, Little Caesar Pizza, Tim Horton's, and Starbucks.
