Initial book dates and times were wrong. We were early and they were more than happy to change dates and accommodate our request. While the main building is clearly old. It was clean and updated. Very nostalgic looking and in it's prime was obviously a very high end hotel. Nice to see that not all the historical buildings are being let go in disrepair.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like. However tea in the room as well as coffee would have been nice. We had requested 2 beds. However given the circumstances we were therefore we were happy to just lay down and sleep

The very friendly staff went out of their way to find us a room that was away from the mainfloor bar rather than above it, and to get it ready for us promptly. The room had a good view of the lake. and was cooled by a very modern heat pump with a remote control. Very nice.

One or two other guests must have spent too much time in the bar, and walked up and down our corridor shouting incoherently until after midnight. Wawa is very much a working-class town! Alas, we were planning to get up at 6 am and get an early start on our drive to Kenora.

OK, this is NOT a luxury hotel. It is in a historic building that is apparently more than 100 years old, so the decor and facilities reflect that. It does have it's own bar and restaurant attached. This is a classic 'dive bar' with live music, good food and great service. Nothing elegant but a very warm, comfortable feeling. We enjoyed our evening there. obviously a focal point for the local community as the bar was quite busy, given the time of year. Staff was great. Good nights sleep. Will go back.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for access to Lake Superior Provincial Park and other beautiful locations along Lake Superior. The hotel manager was extremely kind and helpful, and the room was clean, had plenty of space, comfortable beds, and a big tub. It's also walkable to just about any restaurant or store you need to get to in Wawa without being right on Hwy 17, so it reduces traffic noise.

When the hotel was originally built it likely had a great view of Wawa Lake, which is now mostly blocked by subsequent businesses built across the street. However, it is walkable to Wawa Lake, which has a great little beach.

The staff was so welcoming and friendly - exceptional customer service. Beds were so comfortable! Room was clean and larger then expected! We were traveling with our 2 German Shepherds and they put us in the perfect room at the end of the hall with quick access to outside. The pizza was excellent! Pepperoni was good and LOTS of cheese.

They have a pub and restaurant in the same building and it did get a bit loud at night as the smoking area was outside our window and there was a birthday party going on. We closed the window and it was alot better.

The facilities are very recently built, spacious and very comfortable. Right on main street in the center of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless. No problems with the booking process, check in or check out.

The parking lot is large and has plenty of parking available, but without parking lines I was a little confused about where to park while staying in the new section. Not a problem, just a little confusing to me.

I was assigned an assessable room and found it spacious and would certainly accommodate a wheelchair if that was the disability being accommodated. The bathroom was without barriers and very large and open. There was a bath chair provided as well as automatic door openers.

The view. There wasn't one. The new portion of the hotel is immediately behind an one story 4 or 5 car garage.

The owner if the hotel is so friendly and ready to make sure our stay at the hotel was perfect. It was 😊 So Amazing. Everyone should experience this lovely hotel and it is the only one right in front of the lake. Everyone should have a bit of Wawa in their life 😊☀️❤️

The wall in the bathroom had some chipped paint. Just a touch up needed

The staff was very freindly. And helpful. The bed was comfortable. The bar and restaurant was very busy while we where there (we didn't get to try either) The location was nice right across from the lake. Everything was clean. Other than the table had something like sand on it but whatever no biggie. love the remote control light in the room! Our room was bugger than I expected. They allowed pets without issue we had our 5LB chihuahua with us. ($20 pet fee).

Our room had some damage inside. IE bathroom tiles were broken and lifted up. Bathroom door handle was broken so we couldn't close it. And internet wouldn't connect at all.

We booked at the last minute and were grateful to get this room. When we arrived we were offered choices to stay in the old building or the new building. We were offered a free upgrade to a larger room. The reception clerk was VERY friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable.

The room was a bit dated and the location was good for a stop-over, but not really for a vacation.
