Excellent value for the money (considering Cayman prices in general). Good room, comfortable mattresses. We were in the 2 double beds room. Good shower, clean, helpful staff. They allowed us to check out at noon instead of 11am at no extra charge. We purchased the room including breakfast option and it was great. Full size excellent breakfast. Sausages or bacon with eggs / omelets, potatoes and lot of coffee type of breakfast. We also had pizza for dinner there and we loved it. Those with young kids will appreciate the importance of a good pizza :) We did not have a car. The place is like 5-7min drive from the airport. We used taxi (since there is no Uber). The hotel is 5min walk from the beginning of the 7 Mile Beach. On Cayman Islands we quickly learned that unless you close to the 7 Mile Beach - you not going find a good beach. So yes, first you walk on the street for 5min then you get to the beach and walk as long as you want until you find a spot you like. Get ready for a bit of walking. We did not mind to walk along the beach. The hotel is near the road so there is slight road noise. I am a lite sleeper so if it did not cause a problem for me, you will be fine. We had a horrible experience in a different place. It was so bad that we checked out and moved to this hotel for 2 nights. And it was a great move!

Location was excellent. The breakfast included along with the use of beach chairs and supplies was awesome! Kitchen staff and most of front desk staff were super friendly.

Nothing negative to stay. Only suggestion is to have hooks in shower for wet clothes and the ability to turn the air conditioner cooler at night.

It was a very comfortable stay. Nothing fancy but had all the amenities you'd need. Rooms were very utilitarian and ikea-esque but comfortable and clean. It was easy to feel settled. The pool area is casual and loungy! The vibe of the whole place is relaxing and laid back. It's on a major road and close to a beach while also being close to the main beaches on 7-Mile Beach. The staff are awesome! Everyone from the hotel to the staff at the adjoining restaurant was friendly and accommodating. It all made for a very pleasant hotel stay. I would recommend this hotel as a reasonably priced budget friendly option on Grand Cayman. Even as a few high-end hotel options are close by, I would stay here again.

If I had to make a complaint, it was that cold water wasn't always available at the taps. Hot water was always available however. Really, no major complaints.

The breakfast was delicious. However, my expectation was buffet style as with hotels in the US and in the Bahamas. Accordingly, if menu options remain, my recommendation would be to put more choices and enable guests to choose up to two from the menu; add orange juice and/or apple juice and some fruits. Regarding location: Perfect - the walk to Camana Bay was great; buses ran up and down within minutes from each other. The bus ride to George Town was short and the visitation at same was sweet; the bus ride to the place called Hell gave us an opportunity to see the West Bay side of the Cayman Islands for a small fee of $2.50 US or $2 CI.

The room was very spacious, inviting and refreshing with the colour scheme and the extra bench sitting area; but the bed could have been a bit more comfortable.

Wonderful staff, always friendly and ready to help. Clean rooms, in walking distance of beach, wonderful breakfast, comfortable beds and big shower - bonus. The breakfast choices were good and the chef prepares the hot food for you right there, no buffet style. The hotel offers plenty of clean beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. We chose to walk a little further to our favorite part of the beach which was maybe 20 minutes, but closest beach is a 5 min walk.

It's bit close to the main road, so you'll get some car/outdoor noises but not too bad.

Excellent location, Nice bright, spacious, airy and modern rooms (we stayed in the loft room), super comfy beds and pillows, very clean, incredibly helpful and friendly staff who go out of their way to provide friendly and efficient and timely service. Easy parking with loads of space, excellent à la carte breakfast, and amazing fans and A/C in the bedrooms. Good value for the money.

Would’ve like Netflix or other streaming on the TV or at least more television choices. There was only basic cable, and it was pretty lame. That was probably the only downside to the whole place.

Rooms are clean, modern, and offer a lot of space. The employees at the reception are super nice. Tyler Welton was awesome. She even made several phone calls to figure out a booking to go parasailing. It's an easy walk to the beach, and they literally provide everything including towels, chairs, and sunscreen. There are numerous places nearby to enjoy a variety of different food options.

I loved my stay at the Locale. It was in an excellent location within walking distance to restaurants, Camana Bay, and some shops. As a solo traveler, I felt safe walking around the area. The room was very spacious and had extra touches like a water pitcher in the fridge, plates and silverware, and bottle opener. The public bus stops right outside making other parts of the island easily accessible. Complimentary breakfast was an added bonus and delicious. You can choose from several options. I really appreciated the beach towels and chairs.

My only critique was that the in room safe was on the top shelf of the closet and I could hardly reach it. I was concerned I would leave something in there inadvertently since I could not see inside.

The hotel was exactly as advertised, quiet and comfortable, and a hearty breakfast was included. The staff were all lovely. They accommodated an early check-in for us, which was greatly appreciated.

They do say they aren't on the beach, but they imply that the beach is a short walk, and they do provide very nice chairs, towels, and umbrellas. There is a beach that you can walk to, but it's not the beach that you'd like to spend your day at, so we were very grateful we had a car to go to nicer beaches. We never just walked to be beach with our gear. This was something we weren't aware of when booking.

This is the best hotel! The front desk staff is amazing. The restaurant staff is so friendly and accommodating. The location is in an ideal spot even though it isn't beachfront. It's an easy 5 minute walk to multiple beach accesses. You can even rent bikes to ride! I plan on staying here from now on when I visit Cayman. The family suite was perfect and spacious with modern feel. They give you beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach bag to take down to the beach!

There are no outlets near the bed for me to charge my phone. The breakfast that comes with the package is not very good and the juices aren't that fresh.
