The outdoor pool area was great and the children loved it. I enjoyed the cool temperature of the Health Club pool and also the view of the beach from there. Location was excellent for beach days, literally across the road. Breakfast buffet was really good, diverse range of dishes. I also ordered from the room service menu and the food was tasty and delivered promptly. The design of the hotel was elegant and made for a pleasant experience.

It wasn't made clear where the safe for storing valuables was in the room. I would recommend providing some more detailed literature on services and facilities in the rooms. Think scanning people's faces at check-in is a bit over-zealous and authoritarian. I also think the Health Club should provide some mixed gender saunas, I would have liked to have enjoyed the experience together with my wife and other female relatives.

The view of the ocean was beautiful.

There is currently construction happening across the street and the beach is fenced off. Access to the beach is is found much further down the road after a hot walk because the fencing extends very far and is solid, blocking all ocean breezes as you try to find the way into the beach.

Room view (except the construction ongoing) was nice Accessibility of the hotel is good, clean and managed. International standard facility, but management not on international level Breakfast is good by choice and quality, however low attentiveness by local staff, not cleaning after the guests splashing everywhere, not refilling food on time (coffee & juice empty all the time!), generally the coffee and drinks lowsy, you can expect much more for such breakfast class, other food quality generally good and big variety of breads (uncommon in China) and other goodies. Good fruit selection, good Chinese local breakfast goodies.

Location at the beachfront is generally very good, unfortunately the entire beachfront is a construction site and more or less blocked for access, also the view is impacted. This is not the hotel's fault, but a big disappointment, which makes the stay much less attractive than expected. The works will at least last for several more years, and to my personal opinion is not a good plan for the location. Too many uncoordinated buildings destroy the natural beach feeling. Hotel management looks like international, but no experience with international travelers at all. Rates are generally high, locally get better offers than thru booking.com. Pool management is lowsy, not attentive, no service at pool, you have to find your way, no one helps you, staff just sitting there and playing mobile phone. No pool towels offers unless you pull the guard away from his phone and talk to him in Chinese. Restriction seems to be more present everywhere than service attitude, don't do this and that, but never feel warm, invited. Check In / Out is similar feeling, overcharge the deposit, then even feel reluctant to clear the balance, charge first, service second. I travel in China for more than 25 years, I know what to expect from local facilities, but if I book international I expect international, not local but more expensive.
