The staff at the hotel were professional and courteous. They were helpful in explaining the bill and how booking.com confirmation email worked. It was different for each hotel e.g. how the service charge, taxes were displayed -sometimes they are and sometimes they aren’t. Great hotel support for tours and information about what to see in Kunming. The best was the restaurant. A great manager. Very personable. The restaurant was bright and well organized. Great service. The breakfast food was amazing. So much choice - fresh watermelon, orange, kale, grapefruit juices,. Super pastries. Omelettes, congee, duck and so much more. The price was very reasonable. Also had a great seafood dinner buffet… prawns… crab. The restaurant and hotel location were top. Amazing restaurant manager.

The bathroom was a bit older, no fan or modern touches. The lobby and parking entrance are a bit run down.

The breakfast was great!!! Lots of variety. Fruit juices, fresh fruit, noodles, congee, prepared meats, eggs, veggies, breads, sweets etc….Many Chinese and North American items to choose from. There’s an indoor play area for young children near the eating area. Lovely dining room and the staff were very kind and helpful. The best part is bring able to take strolls in green lake park in the evening.

It’s a great value. Great location near Green lake, restaurants and even the Wallmart is within walking distance. It’s the same decor since we were there in 2011, but definitely not a deal breaker. The decor and level of comfort is still quite pleasant and very nice! There’s a touch of luxury in their decor. I would definitely go again when visiting Kunming.

The location next to Green Lake park is excellent with nearby Wenlin street and others for cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was abundant with variety for all guests. The bed was comfortable and more on the soft side with comfortable rooms and amenities. The pool was very nice, although cool in temperture...so make sure you hit the pool between 11am-4pm when the sun warms the pool the most.

Some small maintenance issues like the fan in the bathroom was non-functional along with the slow running drain, which I cleaned myself. The early morning noise from construction projects on the street is not the fault of the Hotel, but it certainly was annoying every morning as early as 7am.

Top notch service at Front Desk & Concierge. Very much appreciated the currency cash exchange service, recommendations on renting chauffeur car, helped to make urgent purchase of power bank delivered to our room in 2 hours. Quiet neighborhood with few great restaurants nearby, walk to the Cui Lake anytime (great night atmosphere)

Wifi was slow and not stable for duration of our stay, The coffee corner Light fittings were loose, not many Electrical Sockets for guests use.

Breakfast was good!.. but, staff, although friendly, are very serious...They don't SMILE!.. The lady making the omelets (eggs station) didn't look so happy... I greeted her with a big smile... she din't looked at me or say anything...then, I asked: Are you having a hard day?.. She did not reply, then I asked again: why don't you smile?... She replied: "I don't have to smile" Anyway, the manager, a young gentleman, walked near our table; I stoped him and told him about my experience. He was VERY kind and VERY PROFESSIONAL...and promissed to get the employee to my table to apologize. I said, PLEASE don't...it's good enough you did talk to her. Next day, and everyday, that manager himself, came to our table with a great SMILE to get our omelet order and even delivered to our table HIMSELF!!! THANK YOU.

I wish that the staff would be trained to show they are very HAPPHY to work for the hospitality industry. I'm retired now. Most of my working experience is in the hospitality industry and understand how important is to serve the guest in a professional mode and with a great smile!... ALWAYS. So, I didn't like the "serious attitude"

The hotel is wonderful: great location, spacious de Luxe room with beautiful view. We really enjoyed the evening buffet. The choices of freshly prepared delicacies was breathtaking, be it fish, seafood, Chinese specialties and a great selection of pastries. We also enjoyed the friendly stuff. We will certainly be back.

My friend lost his mobile in a taxi while on the way to airport . The staff is extremely helpful , go through the cctv to locate the driver , contact the driver & help to pay the driver on behalf of us. We are extremely impressed by the staff’s efficiency and customer service . We are grateful and look forward to stay with you in our future trip.

Its location near the Green Lake was great for morning and evening walks. The neighborhood offers many restaurants and cafes, and it’s so quiet despite the traffic around it. The room was comfortable and clean, and really nice.

None. I would stay here again on my next Kunming visit!

Almost everything including the friendly and helpful staff and the incredible breakfasts and evening buffets.

A v small point but we felt the top/21st floor was wasted as a gymnasium (which appeared little used). It would make a wonderful bar with its stunning 360 degree view over the city

Location and convenience

The AC was switched off and also the swimming pool. As a five stars hotel there is a variety of Chinese food for breakfast, but there almost nothing for western breakfast except bread, jam and honey.
