1.Friendly staff, the front desk & morning shift bar tender really warm my heart a lot, always lend me a hand im really appreciated it. 2.Good location i.Near metro ii.Near the Kunming old street just 10 minutes walking distance iii. Near green lake park, & there is a few instagrammable cafe surrounded. 3. Healing Environment, fresh air & full of natural plant & rocks. 4. Can make many friends & meet people from many different cities, 1st day I touched down there I already meet 2 friends from different city they accompany me to Shuangqiao Night Market with the front desk staff as our tour guard.

What a place! This is still a Chinese youth hostel like in the old days. Friendly staff, a cafe/restaurant and great, functional rooms. My room, for which I only paid about 115rmb/night, was small but had a nice sized window, a perfectly comfortable bed with crisp sheets, kettle and a large ensuite bathroom. The location was perfect for exploring on foot or taking the subway.

Although clean, the bathroom was quite moldy, and cleanliness (dust only) in the room could be improved somewhat. I will absolutely stay here again next time I come to Kunming.

Its a short walking distance from Metro Station, so its considered a good location, it's also not too far from the popular lake in Kunming. Old town also can walk around 20-30 minutes or take the sharing bycle. The hostel has a nice cafe.

No elevator, if you have a big luggage, it would be a challenge, check in is on the first floor , they will help you to bring up, check out , you do on your own.

The private room is small, but cosy. I wish they had more space for luggage, though. The location is superb, just by Green Lake, close to subway. The price is awesome!!! Very cost-effective. The common spaces are great!

The hostel is sooo noisy!! All the time there are doors banging and noise from the other guests until late hours. They didn’t opt out on cleaning the room every day, unnecessary change of towels. I had a problem with my card key, it didn’t open the room and it took a while to fix it.

We stayed at Kunming Upland international Youth Hostel for four nights and it was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were big enough and the bathroom was also nice. There is a nice pub/restaurant where you can have your meals that offers both local food and international food. It is very close to the town centre and to one of the most important and beautiful parks in Kunming. In general we really enjoyed our stay and would like to go back in case we go back to Kunming.

It's a great place! Rooms are comfortable, bathroom is very big and common areas are very nice. The food from the restaurant is very good as well. If you still don't have your Alipay or WeChat accounts running, it is possible to pay at the place with actual credit card. So it's good if you've just arrived to China.

Close to subway station. Great restaurant with excellent prices. Nice single room.

After booking guarabteed with creot card, received message that I needed to prepay before arrivsl on a Chinese app. Had to seek assurances that I could pay at arrival as the booking confirmation stated

We had a really great time at Kunming Upland International Hostel! The location was perfect! The bedroom was spacious and clean. The staff speaks fluent English, and they can help you with buses, restaurants, etc.

The breakfast doesn't include drinks like coffee or tea, so you have to pay for them separately. We stayed in other hostels in China where coffee and tea were included with breakfast and were free all day!

One of the staff was really friendly and helpful. The lounge was a good place to meet other travellers.

The first room given was bad. Basin tap was loose, bathroom was mouldy. Room was facing the male shared toilet and it was dirty and noisy as well. We asked for a change and after some insistence, was given a change at a higher floor and quieter and cleaner room. A complete difference from the first room.

This hostal is just perfect. You meet foreigners and locals. Everyone is helpful. The receptionist are very kind. Always there to help you. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. The bathrooms are with soap hairdryers and they give you towel and a bottle of water every day. Also provide the laundry place for very little price. Highly recommend this place 🔝
