Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Location: not too far from the train & metro station though at first is not clear how to get from there... But the neighbourhood is quite lively and close to many restaurants, shops, the Zhanqiao Pier, the beach, etc. From there we can walk to many interesting places. WiFi was okay. Overall a good value for money.

The room's decoration (in reality the hotel) is a bit outdated. Also, the room's cleanliness could be a little better. It wasn't bad but I'm a little picky with this, so I can't say it met my expectations. Breakfast didn't have many "Western" food options.

It is really great located. You can walk to the railway station, St Michael‘s Cathedral and the beach. There are a lot of shops and restaurants in walking distance. The staff was really friendly and speaks English. Breakfast was included in the price. Good variety of food (toast, cereal, coffee, fruit, eggs, sweet bread, warm dishes like soup, meat, vegetables, etc

Downstairs the lobby was a bit dusty and also in the restaurant. But the room was clean.

Super convenient location in close proximity to main attractions in Qingdao, lots of restaurants on the street. Also really appreciated the amazing service from staff who facilitated an early check in, a late checkout, and ordered a taxi for us. They were really helpful and friendly. The room itself was also really clean and comfortable. Free drinks in the mini fridge was also very appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!

We checked in extremely late at night, and the staff were pleasant, bringing us extra slippers and a towel when they realized there were three of us. They also allowed us to store our luggage on check out the next morning so that we could freely look around.

The shower head fell off the wall as I tried to use it. It wasn't attached properly, but apart from that, everything was fine. Our window opened out to another wall, so nothing to see from the room. But the location is excellent if you want to look around Qingdao's old quarters, so I was very satisfied with our choice to stay there.

Good location to food and not too far to walk to Metro. But if you have an early morning flight, it would be best to move to a hotel near the airport as traffics is very busy at the street in front of MG Hotel. But for other days it’s a good location. The day reception staff are very good. I did a group booking but wanted to make individual room payment via different method - alipay and cash - per room. And the staff was immediately agreeable to it. No issue whatsoever.

The toilets clogged up after one day for one of the twin bedrooms and after one day for the tatami room. Something the hotel may want to do QC check on.

There is lots to like about MG hotel, from the great location (next to old town and down the road from the pier) to the friendly staff, excellent food and comfy rooms. The breakfast buffet is sensational as always and the restaurant that is also open to the public has some of Qingdao's best dumplings. The cleaning staff is amazing at their jobs and the reception staff have always been super helpful - even helped us order some things online for delivery to the hotel!

Location could not have been better. 10mins walk from the railway station, just at the seaside. Hotel, in terms of architecture, looks like it was taken straight from Greece. Room were comfy, bathroom was little on the smaller side but not crampy

The location is excellent. About 10 minutes walk to both train and metro stations and to the pier. Zhongshan road is also vibrant at night. Free breakfast with Western and Eastern options. There is also complimentary beer and Laoshan spring water in the mini bar. Excellent restaurant located at the ground floor.

Staff were as helpful as possible with everything. This is a busy hotel located on a very busy street.Good Chinese restaurant located in hotel which is popular with locals. Close to attractions in this part of town but doesn't have the range of choices of the downtown. Great if you love seafood and beer on the doorstep

Chinese breakfast not for me but included in price. Gym basic but became unaccessible after a few visits for some reason. There's a big screen just outside hotel and the area just outside the hotel was packed with tourists every night in the summer. Air con takes a while to master it.

The location was very good! Just 5 mins walk to the sea and walking area nearby. There is a 7/11 nearby, the taxi I pick up point and some decent cafes to have a dinner out.

The WiFi was pretty poor and I had to use my mobiles network to work
