The GHL Hotel in Montería is truly exceptional. The staff are not only welcoming but go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The hotel itself is spotless, beautifully maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of service and amenities provided. Having stayed in multiple hotels in the area, I can confidently say that GHL continues to be my top choice.

While the breakfast is generally good, this last stay was not up to the usual standard

The location is perfect since it’s right in Alamedas mall so you near everything. The facilities are good. Check in was perfect, I was lucky my room was ready 2 hours earlier. Staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is really good, wide variety.

In Colombia foreigners are not suppose to pay 19%VAT. In fact, Booking takes into account that when making a booking so you get the final price without the 19%VAT. Nonetheless, I was charged the 19%VAT just because in my passport, the stamp migration put didn’t have the “PT” sign or something like that, this what I was told from the staff. I argued them I was a temporary resident in Colombia since I don’t have permanent residence, I showed them my visa which indicates so. However, they refused to accept my reasons. Eventually, since I was tired and just willing to have a rest, I ended up paying the extra charge. I strongly suggest GHL to take into account this issue and make the necessary to correct it.

Beautiful lobby. Great swimming pool. Good restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful

The swimming pool was closed until 1230 on the Monday morning but this was not advertised anywhere. Had I known this, I would likely have booked different hotel

Room clean with fridge, window to the street, closet, two comfortable beds, temp was 22-23 c all the stay unable to lower, city is around 35 We could hear some noise from the street and rooftop but not bothering, easy access to morning breakfast and pool, clean bathroom with good water pressure hot/ cold water

Monteria is very hot the temperature in lobby and rooms difficult to lower it, average 20-23 c

Excellent hotel. One of (if not) the best hotels in Montería. Definitely recommend this hotel on all accounts including its staff and the convenience of it having direct access to a shopping mall.

Be advised that even non-resident Colombian citizens (ie Colombian citizens that don't live in Colombia), will have to pay IVA (taxes). Which is quite the opposite to what it says on their website.

The location was ideal since it is within a shopping Center

Some issues with the a/c with high humidity and a false Alarm that sounded every day-

Great, it seems they took care of every single detail, rooms are huge, amazing view, pretty nice bar and delicious breakfast

They could invest a little more in the gym, but overall, if you don't use the gym, 5 out of 5

The staff, cleanliness, breakfast everything was on point, simply awesome as ALWAYS!!

everything was good, if the air conditioning was not according to my needs, it got fixed within minutes, one night the music was a little too loud, I got moved to a different floor that same night without problems or delays

I did not know what to expect in Monteria, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was extraordinary, very helpful and friendly. Everything was at the highest level!

Location, facility, staff and food offered were amazing

Some work-related noise (hammering or wall drilling) coming from somewhere (an adjacent room or salon), starting very early disrupted our sleep.
