Clean, well provisioned apartment, direct access to the beach, close to airport, facilities that are great for kids, including squash courts

Far from restaurants and any night life. Not many options for buying foods in the immediate vicinity, so be prepared to cook or take a taxi every night to go out for dinner. It will soon be very expensive.

The air conditioners worked well. The tv's had Netflix, the kitchen was pretty well equipped. The front staff easily got us taxis.

The hot water was very hit and miss. The kitchen sink always had hot water, but the 2 showers did not most of the time. You learned to adjust. Unfortunately clothes dryers are a unicorn in Colombia, but once again you just adjust and adapt.

The view and the facilities were really neat

It would be nice that the club house provides its own restaurant. Nevertheless you can order from outside restaurants and they deliver you everything even on the pool or the beach.

The room was clean and good sized. The pool and beach area were inviting and clean as well. There is a great little restaurant/bar 50 ft down the beach. I recommend breakfast/lunch and drinks at Cambiante.

They really should not advertise that they have a restaurant. There was breakfast cooked somewhere on the premises and brought on paper plates. My opinion is that the food was cooked on a hot plate or microwaved in staff quarters. The coffee is from a machine you might find in an office, the juice was frozen like most stores carry, and blended by the bartender who was eating and using his phone and not washing his hands. I was disgusted. I would give the food a 1, coffee less than 1 and juice a 3. The booking agent would not allow a late check-out as most other hotels allow, so we had to go to a mall for 3 hours with our luggage. We travel to Santa Marta at least once a month, we will stay elsewhere.

I like the location. and the facilities

- An additional fee for a "Bracelet" was charged on arrival, that was not specified in the listing (it was discounted from the final price but it still should be listed) - The security personnel are a little rude in general - Check in was a real hassle, the apartment staff requires almost your birth certificate, is very invasive - We arrived early, the room was ready and we still were made to wait until almost 3pm for the check in, there is no place to store the luggage, so you are stuck waiting in the reception area - Pillows were uncomfortable, no feather or down - Beds are hard with no toppers - Only 2 paper tissue rolls were provided for the whole week - Only 3 bathroom towels were provided for a property that is supposed to house 6 people - All the AC units in the room need a recharge of gas, at the lowest setting the room was still too hot for comfort - The water heater was broken when we arrived and when it was fixed the water really only lasts around 5 minutes before going cold - The chairs in the dining room sound like nails on a chalkboard every time you move them, they need some felt pads - Only one key is provided, that is not a problem if your party likes to stay as a blob, but if you have several people going out at the same time its a real problem
