The hotel has a perfect location on a small island. There is everything one needs near by: direct beach in front, several restaurants and small shop in walking distance. The room has air-condition and is spacious. The breakfast are rich and tasty. The also includes very deep indoor pool which in summer is not used by other guests so you can have full privacy. Our dog was also happy in the hotel. Dogs are allowed on the beach but not allowed to go to the water, however, few meters away are entries to water for boats which are perfect for a dog. There is also a garden hose (north side of the hotel) which could be used as a dog shower. The hotel has two parking lots in the city - not close but transport is provided.

The dog fee of 30 Euro/night is unreasonable high. The shower on the beach requires coins that could be picked up at the reception - we found out while checking out. The bar at the beach has only drinks and ice cream - no snacks.

This small family-run hotel is a gem. It is situated on a small, picturesque island with no cars, a short, one-minute boat ride from the mainland. The hotel's boat is always available to go to the island or back to the mainland. We had our car parked on the mainland and made almost daily excursions to other areas in Croatia, and the logistics worked perfectly. The hotel has a private beach, and the staff reserves specific sun beds for you daily, whether you use them or not. It is nice to know that whenever you feel like swimming, you have a place right next to the sea. The hotel is very clean and neat, and the breakfast is 5-star with a lot of fresh selection. Geographically, the location worked perfectly for us, with only a 20-minute ride to Krka National Park and Skradinski Buk waterfalls and a one-hour drive to Split, from where we also made island excursions. Best of all, the hotel staff is lovely. They are very helpful and seem to like their work genuinely. I needed a doctor during my stay due to an ear infection and got all the help I needed. We were told 80% of the guests are returning guests, which I do not doubt to believe. I traveled with a childhood friend this time but would like to bring my family. My sincere thanks to hotel manager Nino and your lovely team, Mauro, Ivana, Roger, the captain, and everyone else, for making our holiday special!

Every single aspect of our stay in Spongiola was exceptional. The hotel has everything you need and more. (Haven't seen the indoor pool, though, because there was really no need.) The staff is wonderfully accommodating. It's a relatively small but well-staffed hotel, so you receive a near-royal treatment, starting with getting you to the private parking on the shore, ferrying you to the island with a boat (which you take you back to the shore basically at any time), having beach loungers reserved for you, providing fresh beach towels or drinks on the beach... The fact that the beach is right in front of the hotel makes life easier if you're with kids. The room (suite) was large and very clean, nicely though slightly old-fashioned furbished, and the mattresses were really comfortable. All common areas are clean and nicely furbished, too. Breakfast was (only) good, but dinners were regularly great, even for kids.

At breakfast, the coffeemachine is crap: impossible to get a standard cup of black coffee. The cappuccino tasted horrible. Staff at breakfast should be more visible in case you would like to order extra items. Non-transparent billing mode: prices are not depicted on the tab when paying for drinks or food.

Spongiola was heavenly! A beachfront property with absolutely every amenity and friendly staff that ensured I had a care-free and relaxing stay. The rooms were super comfortable and clean, the breakfast was fantastic, and the team made me feel right at home. :) I also took a diving course during my stay, which I can sincerely recommend. No matter if you're looking for a vacay by the beach or a more active holiday, the team will be there to help you and make it a fabulous time. Thank you all so much and hope to see you again soon!

We had an incredible stay at this charming small hotel on a beautiful, peaceful island. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The food was fresh and amazing,and the beach was simply wonderful. The hotel is equipped with everything you need for a perfect getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely keep coming back!

Fantastic Island. Full of history. The rooms we had were huge and had everything we could want. The views are magnificent. The staff, waitress, waiter, receptionist, porter, cook and boat captain were EXTREMELY helpful and attentive to our needs

Location was great for a chilled family holiday, Small beach directly in front of hotel with beach bar:). The island has about 4-5 restaurants all very good, no cars which which really gives you a total feeling of relaxation when your out with family. I like the staff, very friendly and happy to help with anything. If travelling back to this part of Croatia I would stay at the hotel again. We didn't have a car so only visit the local Aqua Park approx. 6km away, KrKa 16km, and Sibenik 8km, we managed easily via taxi. Also if travelling by bus from Split you can request the driver lets you off in Brodarcia which saves from doubling back from Sibenik. Taxi's from mainland Local Taxi - Expensive Hotel Taxi - Good value Uber - cheap but unreliable

The only thing I could comment on would be the the absence of a shower screen in our bathroom. I would also suggest updating some of the room furniture to more modern standard...apart from that everything else was amazing.

Delicious breakfast with a wide choice from fresh fruit and vegetables to a wide choice of croissant and breads or cereal laid out to choose from. Plus, a cooked plate of eggs of your choice. Super views of the sea dividing the island from the mainland with bobbing boats.
