The Hotel is at a very nice location at the main square. I had a room on the opposite inner side , so it was quiet and it had the most beautiful view of the Central Bohemian Highlands. Actually it was the best view I ever had in any stay on Booking ( this was the top floor mind you ) . Breakfast did not had a huge selection, but it was still ok.

The Hotel should have a better maintenance service, it could be seen that since it was renovated a few years back, not enough was done with the upkeeping, so there were some marks of usage that were not fixed as for example a faucet in the bathroom which came out of it's place. If they would take more care this could get some better marks as i feel it should deserve it.

Breakfast!

Absolutely loved the size of the single room and the landscape view of the hills every morning. The elevator was perfect as I was on the top floor and had heavy bags, this is such a rarity to find in rural Czech Republic nowadays. Bed was very comfortable and closet size was sufficient to hang and store items. Mini fridge was a nice bonus as well.

What I didn't realize is that there is no front desk "area", or any staff there to check you in. The front door is always locked and you have to call a number that's pasted to the door, where the owner will either show up (he spoke great English and was very informative) or give you a code to enter. The stairwell leading from the 2nd to 3rd floor is very steep, and the sensor lights did not work which was extremely dangerous at night. There was no one to report this to. Seal to my shower was broken, therefore causing a bathroom flood every time I showered (4 times total). NO housekeeping at all over the 4 nights I stayed. (At the very minimum, a basic sweep of the floors would have sufficed). My MAIN issue was breakfast. I didn't plan on heading down any of the mornings, I just figured it was a nice added bonus to the hotel in case I felt like it. On the first morning, I got a call from one of the breakfast workers giving me a guilt trip as to why I didn't come down, said she had prepared breakfast "just for me" (I thought it was buffet?) and when I tried to reason with her she pretended to not understand English even though she spoke perfectly fine during said guilt trip. This was a huge turn off and probably a reason why I would choose not to stay here again. It would be nice to at least have a kettle in the room or a basic coffeemaker.

- our window was right towards the market square and was super noisy with the cars driving and people playing music during the night. It’s not the fault of the hotel but as it is too warm in the summer, the only thing which could work - air conditioner so that people can keep windows closed - the breakfast could be a bit bigger

Price was fine.

Pretty simple breakfast, heating was closed on the room and the window was open on the first night. A few squished insects on the walls and ceiling.
