A night in Zatec to visit the veer myseum. Hotel Cerny Orel is located direct at the vus station not far from the main square. Friendly receptuonist, normal size room, nice bathroom. The hotel had its years, well maintained. Breakfast is basic but good for a short stay. The impressing veer hop museum os walking distance

I don’t like how the male receptionist treat us specially i have a room for 2 person and asking me if I allowed 2 person i gonna pay for gas, which is i book those room and the toom is for 2 person it was written in the site and well informed by the hotel rules it was for 2 person I don’t like how he treat us and to talk and he insisted that the receptionist who accepted us was a trainee and not well informed about the hotel which is i get offset about how he little he’s co workers,,, whis i see those girls is easy to communicate and verry friendly and accommodating unlike your male receptionist who is rude…

I was not expecting luxury. I was expecting convenience, perfectly location and safety and I got that. I was not expecting warm and helpful people. That was the biggest bonus. And the woman who cooked me delicious ham and eggs for breakfast was awesome.

I had trouble sleeping on the new but uncomfortable mattress

Hotel 'the black eagle' has been refurbished some time ago. The room features two bedsprings, a small round table, a three seat bench, a table with inbuild fridge, a TV and two chairs. And there are curtains. The Wifi is without problems. The bathroom has a fine shower and the two towels pp are OK. We got a 'grand' room according to the label on the door. The breakfast (from 8 - 10 o'clock) is offering lots of things (hot frankfurters, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, many kinds of jam, white bread rolls & normal Czech bread, muesli and flakes, instant coffee, tea (many kinds), juice (apple & orange). The only funny thing was the jogurt, which was offered in tea candle glass cups. The overall impression was very good.

The room has very few free wall sockets. The ceiling lamp switch is situated in the entrance hall, which is uncommon. (One first has to switch on the bed lamp and then go to the entrance hall to switch off the ceiling lamp). Outside opposite the hotel there is a bus station which is surrounded by a round wall. This quite nice architecture however causes a kind of amphitheatrical effect, amplifying all sounds in front of the hotel to the upper floor windows. One can listen to all conversations word by word. The town of Žatec left a mixed bag impression on us. There are a number of nicely restored historical buildings (among them a beautiful gate and a very interesting huge synagogue) but there are also many unrestored almost-ruins. Žatec seems not a town for the rich and wealthy.

The room was looking at the bus terminal so it was fairly noisy, specially that because of the heat I had to keep the window open. The breakfast was just passable, there was not a big selection of things to eat.
