Visited Merseburg during a bank holiday, therefore, there were limited options to eat out. Reception staff was very kind and helpful, calling restaurants to check which one was open and recommended the better ones - that worked out just fine. I also liked the patience when trying to figure out what I want with my broken German lol.

Rooms are a little old-fashioned. I think this fits the town and I had no problem with it, but I can understand if someone feels the hotel old(ish). Nevertheless, I liked the atmosphere still because it was different than "city life".

We booked very last minute because my daughter was unwell during a long drive. Jakob checked us in and was so kind and helpful, got us the right room, found a perfect restaurant for us and even arranged fans for the room as it was such a hot day. We now plan to stay here every time we drive between the UK and Poland. As a bonus, although we hadn’t planned it, we happened upon one of the most beautiful old towns I’ve ever seen, Merseburg is absolutely stunning!

It was clean and the reception staff very helpful and friendly. We didn’t realise there was no aircon and the reception staff organised a fan for us as it was extremely hot. Breakfast was good but expensive.

A hotel without an air con should not be rated 4 stars.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with great location across from the Schlossgarten. The room was spacious, and the parking was easy to access. Also had a wonderful breakfast.

No air conditioning. The curtain in front of the window was ripped and because of that didn't close properly, so the early morning light (traveled in July) woke me.

All is OK with the hotel, located in the middle of the Merseburg, 10 meters from the entrance to the park and palace. We stopped on the way to Austria, I can recommend.

No air conditioning, but the hotel is located in silent district, so you can open windows.

A very modern hotel with handy parking for a couple of motorcycles. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and the bathroom was excellent. The restaurant produced a nice buffet for dinner and breakfast.

All good, just didn't have time to look around the city.

We had a spacious room with bathtub. The breakfast was delicious.

The furniture is really old, we could only use one Socket in our room to charge our phones.

Walking distance to the park and old town, a café close by. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly.

It’s not a negative just a fact - the hotel isn’t very modern. There was no option for dinner offered on Sunday.
