Great budget place to stay if u need to use near bus-station. We stayed here first and also last night of our DR backpacking trip. Uber to/from beach is 200-300 pesos, Airport 20$. Other accomodation options are 2-3 times more expensive, but yes, they might be in walking distance to beach, this one is not (3-4km?).

To improve the place - it would be nice to offer free filtered water and tourist hostels around the world might inform u about bus schedule to other places. So there is space for improvement and atracting more tourists.

This place was pretty awesome. I have no clue what people are talking about in regards to a shady area it is right next to the Main Street with all of the shops and restaurants. They are remodeling the entire place they even have new bathroom doors and they're completely redoing all the rooms. Seeing how it cost triple the amount just to get materials you have to understand that they can't do remodel and fix things instantly. The neighborhood and the local culture is awesome and the food was delicious I didn't have any problems here. the beach is a mear 45 minute walk so you can save yourself money. Not to mention at midnight they close the gate and lock it so nobody can get in and they give you a key if you want to leave.

As other stated , you can't beat the price. The bed where good enough, cold shower as indicated in other posts More over the staff was helpfull and friendly. The surrounding doesn't seem much welcoming but i didn't have any problems. Just an annoying dog barking at night ( not from the hotel i think ), but i suppose that can't be helped. Thank you all.

It will be nice to add some mosquito nets on the windows, and the plumbing need a bit of repairs. No breakfast at the place, though it was indicated you could get one for 5$ , but you can get coffee and cake for cheap in a shop nearby ( so no problem ).

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for us as it is only a couple hundred meter from the bus station. Good price/value

Barebones but surprisingly comfortable, safe and quiet hotel right in the area where all the bus stations are in Punta Cana. It isn't on the beach but it is definitely cheap, worthwhile on a budget plus many stores and restaurants all around. Thmbs up!
