Dont allow smoking in buildings or outdoor spaces. Speed up check in process. I missed more activities toward the beach (music events, bar by the beach, ability to borrow paddle boards, rackets or beach entertainment stuff). Things that other hotels offer at Bavaro beach Swimming pool is awesome but needs inside renovations, specially jacuzzi areas which were not working

Excellent food selection

Terrible check in we waited 30 minutes for one person to check us in. Then I went to ask a staff to get More help nothing happened then I went again to ask for assistance and finally one guy sitting at the concierge - just behind the front desk - gets up to help. It was really frustrating because after a long flight we just wanted to get to our room plus we had a small child. To have one person at the front doing checking in and selling tours was not good enough

The atmosphere is very nice,and the pools are awesome.Maybe we came in June not high season, we don’t feel it’s crowded. The food is good enough,but we can go to eat in the restaurant besides (The Circle).The buffet restaurant in Circle is excellent.

The room is a little bit old,but in general it’s nice and clean.

Room/customer service is extremely slow. you can ask about something and didn’t even get it after few days! Until you go to the reception and insist something to be done while you’re awaiting..

The staff is incredible and so very accommodating. The location is beach front (though not all rooms are beach view). There were plenty of daily activities we were part of- water aerobics, mixology class, etc. They had a wonderful group that was used for their excursions- in which we participated in the party boat and deep sea fishing! Both were very exciting and well worth the money. The food was incredible and we really loved the buffet as it was super easy in and out with more options than imaginable.

Booking.com screwed up my reservation by allowing my personal information to be breached and get cancelled- in which they DID NOTHING, therefore I needed to book a new room- which was SMALLER and MORE EXPENSIVE. The resort I have absolutely zero negative things to say about the property!

Amazing. Palma Real is absolutely beautiful. Almost over the top.

The pushy staff. You get assigned a concierge who tries to sell you on excursions and other things. Other staff walk around while you’re relaxing to upsell you. The restaurant staff give only satisfactory service at best, which really takes away from the excitement of going to dinner.

Overall, the facilities are in good shape, the beach and pools are very clean, the food was tasty and fresh, the service was great, particularly the lobby bar staff: the bartenders Lucia and Luis were super friendly and amazing mixologists, their supervisor Luis always came around for a nice chat, our concierge Felipe took very good care of us; and, Leandro at the steakhouse was the best waiter!

Starting to show some wear and tear, some bars didn’t carry all same spirits, pool bar had mostly generic brands, buffet could include more variety maybe, the real “luxury” seems to be reserved, the Circle by Meliá staff should learn how to pitch their program in less time instead of taking 2 hours of your precious vacations.

Enjoyed the various restaurant options. The swim up room was great. Private access to the pool in your backyard! Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Lovely place to relax and unwind with friends

Our toilet did run a bit while we were there and it took a while to get a handle on the thermostat. It would’ve been nice if citronella candles were one of the amenities in the room if I wanted to go outside after dark and not get bitten by mosquitos

HOTEL GAVE US WRONG ROOM 1ST NIGHT BECASUE OF OVERBOOKING, SO I LOST HALF OF NEXT DAY WITH CHANGING ROOM , THERE ARE MOSQUITOS AND SMALL SAND FLIES EVEN IN MARCH
