- friendly/helpful staff - decent breakfast - good location, walking distance to main sights/restaurants/grocery stores - bathroom had good counter space and water pressure/temperature - we felt safe in the area

- bathroom door could not open/close fully which also created a draft when taking a shower - general wifi did not reach our room on the top level so we burned through data the first day until we discovered there was a different network, and we asked the front desk for that password. after that, didn't have issues - pool and the jacuzzi were extremely cold - some small insects in the room

A chill and pleasant place with interesting architecture. The layout itself is like a little adventure. Staff was very accommodating. There are lots of social spaces, rooftop jacuzzi, inner courtyard, interesting tile patterns, has a unique vibe. It is right off El Conde, which is the main pedestrian street, everything is super walkable.

I thought the breakfast was a little too simplistic and the portions a little too small. For example the fruit portion would be four bana slices and three cubes of papaya ... that's a bit too low IMO.

We met the owner Don who was very nice and engaging. Nelsa the manager was very friendly and helpful. The front desk Jose and Joel were informative, professional and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious and readily available. The pool and spa were separated which was a nice difference with the spa on rooftop and pool on lower level. They have a surround sound for both locations pool and spa which was a bonus for setting modes and tones. Up on the rooftop they have a honor bar system that is superb. They keep complimentary water bottles and filtered water readily available for their guess, along with coffee all day. They have a microwave accessible for use for guess leftovers which is a plus for late night munches and not wasting or trashing good food (keeping more money in our pocket), along with refrigerators in each room.

Absolutely nothing was wrong with Casa Sanchez Hotel, LOVED EVERTHING about this place and easily accessible to everything.

A lovely and historic property, in the heart of Zona Colonial. The courtyard is a real gem and breakfast there should not be missed. The quaint little pool and rooftop lounge area are nice touches too. The staff were friendly and obliging.

I was assigned Cristobal Colon as my room. The aircon there was my biggest complaint. It kept switching off in the middle of the night - something to do with it being set on a timer, I believe. And it made this very disturbing clicking noise occasionally. The room could definitely have benefited with a kettle or coffee machine, I thought. The shower strength was inadequate, and the dispensers provided no shower gel - only shampoo and conditioner, which was quite odd. Hooks would be a very useful addition to the bathroom.

The hotel has a nice colonial vibe, it was calm and comfortable. I liked common areas a lot. The staff was helpful and nice. Very good location. I also felt safe in that area.

I could feel humidity in the room, it was even visible in wet posters in the frames inside the room. The window was so small and up high, the room was all the time dark (Gomez room). The breakfasts were very small and rather simple.

I like the property Very much, it was clean, beautiful, having all the need it facilities. It is located In the Colonial zone. That’s really great and you can go in foot in each part of colonial zone. The people were great. Nelsa came to show me the exchange house. They recommended me a beautiful island to go. All the time were happy, smiling and doing everything for the guest from their heart. They help me to book the taxi to and from airport. They wait for me until 5 AM in the morning, when I arrived. A very good breakfast: 4 posible choices: english, dominican, continental, fitness. All the time with fresh juice and fruits. The rooms were nice, big, old style, clean and smelling great. I would definitely go back to Casa Sanchez Hotel.

We stayed in Las Mirabal Hermanas suite.l It's an amazing place. Lots of heart put in and well thought amenities, decor, guides, etc in the entire Casa.. It's a very high standard, above Dominican Republic. Breakfast was really nice too. The place It's with lots of colour, truly amazing! Received very good sightseeing tips from the owner with the highlight of the cable car journey. Also received some free cerveza. Swimming pool which is well lighten at night. Whole place is really good.

It seems that our room was not available but for extra dollar we got an upgrade to a suite with some free beer which we didn't regret

The accommodation is tastefully adorned, vibrant, and well-kept. The breakfast space is relaxing, the pool is lovely, and all the furnishings and flooring are impressive, creating a cozy ambiance. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the morning. The staff was incredibly friendly, cheerful, and accommodating; we couldn't have wished for more. The room was spotless, roomy, and comfortable. The location was perfect. Our stay was absolutely delightful.

This place is just delightful. We went to an airbnb and it was so disgusting, we wondered if all of santo domingo would be like this. We booked Hotel Sanchez because of the cheap price and because the reviews were positive on cleanliness and customer support, took our bags and went over. It was awesome, the room was clean, the staff was super nice. Me and my husband were suffering from food poisoning and they were so helpful. Not only was it clean and lovely, it was also extremely charming! Every room is different and full of charm, beautiful and exotic tiled floors and new world gorgeous wooden furniture. They had a gorgeous pool I wish I could’ve had the time to swim in, and a gorgeous rooftop with self service bar and a yummy looking hot tub!! We went around 10pm and there was nobody there!! Finally, location. This places location is prime. You are a block away from el conde, the liveliest street in Santo Domingo, where anybody can walk alone and safe, and where by following takes the straight to the great park with all its attractions. Incredible location for tourism!!

The house is as shown in the pictures. I only stayed 1 night with my family. The rooms were clean enough, it has a nice pool and terrace and kind staff. It's close to the El Conde street from which we could walk to main attractions in the city center.

Both rooms had issues with the AC. My room was too cold at some point during the night and we could not adjust it manually using the remote control because apparently the AC settings are controlled by the reception. My parents' room AC was not working at the beginning, the lady from the reception kindly helped us but unfortunately we did not manage to setup the temperature we wanted.
