Very friendly and helpful staff, great Aircon, pool was a good size with plentiful beds and umbrellas. Very comfortable beds, useful fridge in bedroom and lovely Rituals shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Flat walk to old town. Large Carrefour less than 5 mins walk. Good place to combine relaxing by the pool but near an interesting and beautiful town.

In room tea and coffee options not great, but the honesty bar has more options. Not the hotel's fault but we were quite badly bitten after being by the pool during the day and had to buy some repellent.

Lovely friendly small hotel on the outskirts of Girona but easy access to town on the L2 bus across the road by the hospital. Room was really comfortable, good aircon, small fridge. Well appointed bathroom with Rituals products. The hotel is spotlessly clean and they were making minor decorative improvements when we were there which didn't negatively impact our stay. Even though near a busy road the pool area was really relaxing with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Breakfast was typically spanish and lunch was great value with pleasant helpful service. The honesty bar had lots of options and the area was relaxing and a welcome shelter from the midday heat. Girona is a beautiful city and would love to return to explore better in spring or autumn and would definitely stay in Costabella. Pilar, Juan and Miquel on the desk were lovely and helpful.

Nothing, it was a great stay despite the heat. Its not the hotels fault but there are trees and shrubs around the pool area and I got badly bitten as I made the rookie mistake of sitting out with no protection at dusk!

What a great hotel! Super friendly staff, great food options, and a lovely pool to lounge by. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation. The rooms were intelligently laid out with smart places to unpack, hang up clothes, and store luggage--features that seem to be on the wane in modern hotel design. We also appreciated that the prices in the well stocked honesty bar for self service snacks and drinks felt a like a value.

The hotel location is outside the main city center and we would recommend driving a car there. The walk into town takes about 15 - 20 minutes and is not the most enjoyable, being next to a busy road without much shade. A taxi cost $8-$10 one way from town to the hotel.

The staff are excellent. I have stayed here a couple of times now and they are always going out there way to help. The restaurant is also very good for dinner, with great quality food and at a price that is actually very reasonable. It is not right in the centre of town, but an easy 20 minute walk is not a problem. Having dedicated bike storage as well as a cleaning area is just the cherry on the cake

I would like independent air conditioning. It allows you to adjust room temperature but doesn't really stay at that. This is the smallest of negatives though and doesn't detract from a great place to stay

The hotel has done a lot of beautiful renovations comparing to the pictures you see. For us we loved every single part of the hotel. It is about a 20 min walk to Girona town centre but we didn’t mind, we loved the walk. The staff will order you a taxi too no problem. We missed our flight back and decided to come back to the hotel and see if there was a room available, the lovely gentleman remembered us, we were able to get the same room back and made the most of the extra day we had. thank you to the gentleman at the reception who was so great at looking after us. This hotel deserves to be more than a 3*. Girona is beautiful, this hotel took me by surprise and we loved every moment of our stay here. Thanks to the wonderful staff and hope to be back soon:)

Very clean and modern had the facilities needed for our two night stay ,walking distance to girona old town . Great choice at breakfast buffet. They had an honesty bar with an array of different drinks and snacks which was great as there was no queue to get served etc and paid for items at end of the trip.

I would nt stay here for a long trip with kids as there is nt entertainment etc in hotel but we went into town which is a 20 min walk both nights we stayed not sure if young kids would be able for the walk. The pool is deep also mostly suitable to older kids.

The hotel has a really warm and comfortable feel as soon as you walk in. The lounge areas are very comfortable with an honesty bar that was well stocked and reasonably priced. We had our dogs with us and although we were unable to take them into the restaurant we were able to book a table in the bar area and were served there for dinner. The food at the restaurant was extremely good and very well priced too. The bedroom was well decorated and very comfortable with Rituals amenities in the bathroom. The parking was secure too and was free to park. I would definitely stay here again.

The only negative comment I can give is purely the location as it is quite a walk into the city centre. It probably takes approx 30 to 40 mins to walk in depending on how fast you walk.

The property was wonderful! We loved the design of the hotel and rooms, it was exceptionally clean and modern. The restaurant and bar were great and fully stocked at all times and the pool area was comfortable, clean and relaxing. Location is good, 20 minutes into the old town and a short taxi ride if preferred. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming, assisting with anything we needed on our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! We loved it!

The lobby/ hallways and rooms were all very modern and clean. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was spotless! We didn’t use the pool area just because we had other plans but this area also looked good. The free parking space was really ideal for us as we had a hire car, always spaces available. We took drinks from the honesty bar and this was really straight forward to pay for on check out, the bar had a good range of drinks/crisps/sweets/breadsticks.

We liked everything. Breakfast was excellent - huge variety - eggs, bacon, sausage. Pancakes and cereal, lots of breads. It was really good value too and you could have as much as you wanted. The staff were great and if there wasn't something there they got it for you immediately. Also reception staff were brilliant, called taxis' for us, booked restaurants, recommended things for us to do really made our stay. The honesty bar was fantastic - no waiting for servers to come to you - just get what you want when you want it and it was not too expensive for a hotel - in line with local bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend a stay here.
