Located on Channel Road just a few blocks from the sand of Santa Monica Beach, the Channel Road Inn is a charming guest house with an excellent staff. The Inn has an excellent "homey" feel and is nicely furnished. Our upstairs room featured a salon with bedroom and a large bathroom. The afternoon wine/cheese is an excellent touch and the breakfast was varied, excellent and satisfying. The Inn is the sort of place that makes you want to stay there just to enjoy its ambience.

While there is parking, the space is limited and you may not get a spot, especially if other guests failed do not understand why the white lines are there on the ground. Like any quality lodging in Santa Monica, the Channel Road Inn is pricey.

The hotel was perfect for couples. A great location 10 minutes walk from the beach. Free parking was appreciated. The staff were so friendly and looked to go the extra mile at every opportunity. Breakfast was excellent and home baked cookies were always available together with wine, cheese and nibbles in the afternoons. We were really pleased with the room and tge bed was huge and super comfy.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Channel Inn for our elopement. The staff were very warm and generous. They sent us a bottle of prosecco and a small bundt cake as congratulations. The breakfasts were delicious. The whole inn had an old seaside cottage charm to it, with board games and jigsaw puzzles to boot.

The location is a sharp turn from the freeway. It can be easy to miss the turn, and you could end up driving for miles to do a U-turn. So pay attention to the lanes!

The breakfast was fabulous, the afternoon drinks and snacks a welcome addition, the ambience and music delightful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spacious and charming.

I would have preferred a separate shower as the bath was rather high to step in and out of. The bed, though lovely and wide, was a bit soft for me, sagging a little in the middle.

Without doubt the best place I have stayed in the US, across many trips. The warm and thoughtful welcome from the staff, the wonderful breakfast, the location just minutes' walk to the beach, the overall ambience with the fellow guests - everything was exceptional. Hoping to one day come back and have the pleasure of staying here again.

Access to the property was a bit difficult. Door stuck. The bed was between some pillars which made getting in and out very difficult. I actually hurt my ankle which did not heal as of today. Pipes make an incredible sound when neighbors shower, which may be very uncomfortable after midnight.

Breakfast was good but a B and B in this price range should have different coffee options

Great location but the limited parking first come first get is a big nuisance. Not enough places to store clothes from 2 adult bags. Need more hooks in the bathroom and around the room. Space limited.

This is a great place to stay when visiting LA. It's a traditional small mansion converted to an Inn, located just off the coast road in Santa Monica. From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming and were always friendly and helpful, including getting us taxis when we couldn't get an Uber. The room was a good size, very clean and well furnished. The lounges and breakfast room have traditional features and are very well furnished and very restful. The home cooked breakfast options were delicious. Also, we really enjoyed the complementary afternoon wine, snacks and cheese between 4 and 6 each day. You feel very well looked after here. Highly recommended!

Easy parking, lovely furnishings throughout property and very helpful staff. The afternoon wine and snacks and the breakfast offer was delicious. It felt very peaceful for Santa Monica.

The walls between bedrooms were thin so heard snoring from next room most of the night.
