Staying at the Runavik Hotel was a very nice part of our trip to the Faroe Islands. We stayed for one night at first, but ended up staying for two more nights. The central location of the hotel was convenient for us, with nowhere far to go. We were also given a complimentary upgrade to the best room and although Booking didn't advertise it, breakfast was part of our stay. Everyone in the restaurant was also very nice, both the lady who took care of breakfast and the lady who served us for dinner. The breakfast deserves a special comment as it was very varied - sweet, savoury pastries, sausages, eggs, cold cuts, a wide range of cheeses, cereals etc. We can really recommend a stay in the hotel to anyone looking for comfort when travelling around the beautiful Faroe Islands.

The location was excellent and had stunning views of the harbour and the mountains behind it. The hotel was centrally located in the town on the main street with a bus stop just outside and the football stadium (for those interested) just a 100 metres or so up the road. The breakfast was superb with an extensive range of fresh things to eat. The setting was nice too. The staff were excellent, and as our flight was delayed and got there late, they left our key in an envelope on the desk with information about the hotel attached.

Nothing, as everything was great and met our expectations.

The hotel staff is very friendly and very supportive - they made our stay very enjoyable! The breakfast is quite good. The hotel's location is quite central on the Faroe Islands -> pretty much any spot can be reached in max. 1h (be aware that you have to pay a fee for using the tunnels).

The rooms are quite "plain and simple". A refurbishment of the bathroom and more space in terms of cupboards, etc. would be highly useful.

Wonderful staff, restaurant and location… it’s a great place to stay!! But please beware of hot days!!

I was boiling alive for two nights. I was blessed with a rare warm spell and the rooms facing the water are so ridiculously hot even with the window open. I had to pour water over my head at 4am! No fans. Please buy fans, hotel. It would be such an easy fix. I know hot weather is rare here but my god it was the worst

Easy check-in procedure (we arrived around midnight, and the room key was waiting for us), very comfortable beds, and a good restaurant.

Rooms on the top floor can get quite hot on sunny days, but don't worry, there won't be many of them. Birds that start singing very early in the morning.

Well-located on the main road in Runavik. The hotel is under new management and it is in good repair. The dining room has been renovated and is very impressive. Breakfast was excellent, complete with freshly-made pancakes, and the usual eggs and meats and breads and cheeses. The rooms are comfortable.

The only issue is that the fjord-facing rooms experience the full heat of the sun and thus get very warm (in the summer, of course). We opened the window but the room was still warm. One solution might be to provide a small fan to move air in the room. Another, of course, would be to get a rear-facing room. When the curtains are drawn so the room is dark for sleep, the air simply does not circulate well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips for the city and went out of their way to ask about the correct bus stop for our onward journey. Thank you for the hospitality once again!!!

Lovely hotel, fantastic views over harbour from our room and restaurant, and one of the best beds i have ever had at a hotel. Next time in Faroe Islands we will definitely stay here again. A wonderful establishment we gladly recommend to anyone travelling to Faroe Islands.

Great place centrally located in Runavik main street. Spacious room with all needed. Very good breakfast served and run by Greek couple whoa re super friendly and helpful. Restaurant on site serves very good meals.

Our room hasnt been used for some time before our arrival so it got a bit dirty over time. After bringing it up, Greek guys did a fantastic job to prepare it for us.

We had a wonderful stay! Good central location to explore the islands. Very good restaurant. And excellent excellent staff. Specifically Annika - you made us feel like family in your hotel! You are awesome. Will definitely stay in this hotel again if and when back in Faroe.

The bath arrangement was a bit awkward.
