The bed was comfortable and extra pillows were provided. Not all rooms have air conditioning but paying for it was worthwhile in the summer heat. We slept very well. The hotel is a short walk from Hamina market square and there is a supermarket slightly further away. The supermarket closes by 2200 hours so you may have to use the in-room minibar if you do not plan ahead. Breakfast was a good buffet in the usual Finnish hotel style, Tasty coffee and tea were available without any fancy specialty brews. The gluten-free choices seemed rather plentiful.

The hotel parking lot behind the building is rather small and you need to pay an extra 10€ for it. The fee was posted on the web site, though. During the summer the spa facilities were not open during our stay on a Monday. Not an issue for us and the opening times are posted on the hotel web site.

The location is very good if your business is in the downtown area. Conveniently within walking distance of many primary tourist attractions as well. I got to stay in one of the new renovated rooms and it was quite nice. Very cozy. Breakfast was quite basic with oatmeal, bread, yougurt, etc. I found it sufficient. Parking is close by in the backyard of the building.

The hotel does not provide restaurant services in the evening so you have to venture out to town. No big deal, in my opinion. There is a pizzeria right next door, for example.

Located right in the middle of the small garrison town of Hamina which is steeped in history back to the 18th Century. The room was recently renovated, practical like all Finnish hotels, good food, friendly staff, and easy to find.

The room was very nice. We were 4 and there was enough room for everyone. Breakfast was nice. The staff was polite and friendly.

Around a week before out stay I got a notice that the spa will be closed. Although we did not get to use the spa the price remained the same. We booked with the spa access.

Very quiet room, comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast was rich with smoothie, juice, veggies, fruit, omelet. Atmosphere within breakfast lounge was very relaxed. Reception lady was very friendly. As we arrived late and left early we had no chance to visit spa. - but we definitely return:-)

breakfast was good, more warm food would've been nice (bacon and beans etc). location was very nice, almost in the city centre. room was clean and big.

we were a little disappointed that the spa section was not available, that was the main reason why we booked the hotel.

Everything was nice.

The ravintola Alku was too expensive, especially knowing how little food they give you. Our stakes were ruined, but we were offered 50% off. 50% off was too little from totally worthless stakes.

We got a just renovated suite even booked a 2 bed room :-) The restaurant downstairs, Restaurant Alku, was magnificent with tasty dinner, wine and happy professional personnel.

No possible to drink hot drinks (tea, coffee) in the room. After SPA need the possibility to dry the swimsuit (maybe it us, but wasn’t information about it). Would like the possibilty to get the discount if no spa using.

Excellent location in city centre. Free parking around the hotel. spacious room and good breakfast. Breakfasts room was spacious and never too crowded even though the hotel was full.

The room was dated and had greenish decoration straight from the 90s. some of the lights in the room didn’t work and power outlets were almost falling from the wall. There was also quite a lot of dust in under the bed in the room as well as behind the furniture. I think some of the rooms have been recently renovated but unfortunately we got a room still waiting to be renovated.
