Excellent staff. Excellent food. Evening meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Great service. Knowledgeable waiting staff. Comfortable rooms and not too hot

Slightly shabby decor, in need of some decoration. Peeling paint on most external woodwork. Looks a bit drab on the outside. Don't worry though, it's a very clean, comfortable hotel. Slightly pricey compared to similar hotels in Norway

Breakfast was excellent! Every day. A constant happiness to eat a hearty breakfast. I also liked the Kabinetti, which was a great place to work mostly alone while drinking a beer.

The room was small and I needed a desk to work at. This was solved by the Kabinetti.

I think this hotel is slightly underrated. The passing of the time can be seen in some facilities, but our room was cozy despite being small, and very clean. Sauna was excellent, and the possibility for a swim in the lake was super. Breakfast was also excellent, and the staff very friendly. Location is very good next to the Kilpisjärvi services. I can recommend.

We booked for two nights, to be able to make a full day hike to Treriksröset, where the borders of Finland, Sweden and Norway meet. Really good breakfast with many alternatives. Breathtaking mountain surroundings. Lots of reindeers around.

We booked a budget alternative with our room in a hostel annex building. Bathroom not en suite and breakfast in the main building.

Had a very nice stay at Laplands Hotels Kilpis. Good food and nice, friendly staff. The room was a bit "simple" but ok.

Perhaps some windows here and there looks rundown and need to be fixed. But this didnt destroy my stay there at the hotel. :-)

Really cool location, friendly staff and the breakfast is good! Plus points for having reindeer right outside of your window!

In need of renovation

Great breakfast but one of the biggest surprise was the quality of the dinner - it was exquisite! The colours of the arctic sunset behind the large windows, perfectly matching Lapland inspired music in the background at the dinner created a perfect atmosphere. The location could not be better for skiing right from the front door and snowshoeing on nearby hills and the Saana. Aurora watching few steps from the hotel!

The facilities are a little dated, but that only adds to the authenticity of the place.

The sauna, the breakfast, amazing.

The rooms are old school and smell like mold, they really should renovate the hotel already!

Loved the view of Saana from our window, the sauna by the lake, the big breakfast in the morning. Location was great. Very dog friendly hotel.

I don't think our room had black-out curtains? Those are important in the summer.
