Great location, right in the heart of the action, and across from Santa Monica Pier. A short walk to 3rd street shopping mail, and many great restaurants. The hotel offered complimentary bikes so we road to Venice Beach. We couldn’t have asked for better.

Valet left our car keys in another vehicle, which ended up in San Diego, the valet manager took a 6 hour round trip to retrieve the keys, as Uber would not travel the distance. This happened the day of checkout, which meant our plans for the day had to change to allow them to retrieve our keys. Room 222 was noisy, the local construction worked through the night.

I recently stayed at the Ocean View Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The room faced the ocean, providing a beautiful and tranquil view, making it both comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was well-equipped with all the essentials, ensuring a stress-free and homely atmosphere. One of the highlights was the coffee maker, which made my mornings delightful. The pillows were incredibly fluffy and adjustable, contributing to a perfect night's sleep. Additionally, the hotel's location in the heart of Santa Monica was ideal, with easy access to all the attractions and amenities the area has to offer.

While my overall experience at the Ocean View Hotel in Santa Monica was positive, there were a few concerns that I'd like to mention. One issue I encountered was the safety of Palisades Park at night. The area around the park felt quite dark and, unfortunately, somewhat insecure due to the presence of individuals in unpredictable circumstances. This made walking in the park after dark a rather unnerving experience. To improve the experience for future guests, I would suggest the hotel and local authorities consider enhancing the lighting and increasing security measures around the park during nighttime hours. This would help guests feel safer and more comfortable exploring the beautiful surroundings of the hotel after dark.

Lack of bar!!

The hotel was really nice, clean, with great amenities. We had a sea view and it was nice but there were many homeless people in front of the hotel screaming all the night. The room was cozy, but the queen bed was too small for 2 people sharing one bed. Santa Monica Pier is 5 minutes walking and you can find really good mexican restaurants on the street. But between the hotel and the beach there are 2 motorways.

The size of the beds and the "paper walls". You could hear absolutely everything from the other room and the corridor. Plus from outside.

It is close to the Santa Monica Pier and the room we stayed in was on the second floor but had a small view of the beach. If you stay on a higher floor, you will have an even better view. The rooms have wood floors and are always clean. The amenities are very good, including a variety of toothbrushes and body washes. I originally tried to use the cheap public parking nearby but it was very crowded and the parking was too small, so I used the hotel valet parking and was very pleased with the service.

Your staff are wonderful! Heidi and Alyssa are great. Also, Jenni at the coffee shop is very friendly and helpful!

My fan in the room would start and stop at about midnight during my stay. I could not get it to turn off. Told front desk and they moved me to another room at 2:30 am. Used a luggage cart by myself and moved all my stuff to another room. You need to do an overall check of your HVAC system.

We had an excellent stay at Oceanview Hotel. We reserved the ocean view room with a balcony overlooking the pier and beach. It was comfortable and stocked with all of the amenities. The location is perfect for walking to the farmers market, SM pier, the mall, and restaurants and shops. We actually walked along the beach all the way to Venice Beach for lunch. The hospitality and service are impeccable. I asked for an early check in and they graciously accommodated us. We were able to check in at 1:00 pm. They also extended our checkout to noon. That’s almost unheard of any more. Fantastic customer service! Kudos to Joy and Heidi

Nothing. It was excellent

It was the perfect spot with perfect views of the pier and the ocean. The hotel provides you with vouchers for bike rentals everyday, up to 4 bikes. Which was perfect for my family of 4. We rode our bikes along the bike trail and got the best views of the pier and ocean.

There’s a lot of homeless around, we’re from a smaller town so we’re not used to seeing that. But we also understand that’s comes with touristic areas.

Great location, customer service and comfortable rooms. Great view in rooms with ocean view as an option. Also, they really do have onsite parking (valet). I added some photos of the view from my room. They were zoomed in a bit but just showing you all the view was nice.

They should consider decreasing the overnight parking cost or including it in the nightly room cost.

Good view from our ocean side room and in particular the one we had as we couldn’t easily see the large carpark next to the pier. The room was also perfectly nice and with a large bed. Staff were very friendly.

It was fine but feels overpriced and with added charges for everything. For me, when you spend over £300 per night, extras should be included. The area is good but also quite down and out in some ways and the freeway between the road where the hotel is and beach was a surprise. But you just need to walk a bit further down to avoid it and reach the beach via normal roads and a path.
