I did not partake of the breakfast, nor any meals at the Pointe. I cooked all meals in my suite--which has a very nice kitchen and supplies. I am concerned about the safety of the complex, and noticed a few maintenance items which should be fixed--a broken vinyl blind in my kitchen, the hanging drapes/curtains were difficult to slide--like the slides needed to be cleaned and greased, and the tiles outside walkways are REALLY slippery--a real hazard for older people and kids running around.

Outside walkway tiles should be "roughed up" to prevent slips and falls. Lock on my patio door was old--difficult to open and close. Glass soap dish in bathroom should be replaced by soap dispenser or non breakable soap dish. No grab bars in tubs or showers--all of this just makes sense to prevent injuries

Good sized rooms for families. Full kitchen. Staff had quick response to replenish towels and toiletries. Great location. Can see turtles, whales right around the resort. Very nice grounds and pool. Easy to explore the whole island. Concierge helpful in booking activities to do.

Dated rooms. The rooms are not cleaned during the stay like in a normal hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff who quickly agreed to move us away from construction & blocked view of ocean. Large spacious, clean 2 bedroom/living/kitchen Convenient to Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Beach

Layout of building and entire resort is confusing Lack of good directional or building signage Dead ends in sidewalk that could have quickly gotten us from building 8 to 9. Only one elevator in building and was not working for part of our stay—reluctant to trust it. lots of walking.

The room was big with all the neccessities for a family (kitchenware, washing machine, etc.). The facilities were also great - the pool was awesome and the hot tub was great. The staff was also great, and the hotel manager went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of.

The room was a bit on the old side, and the shower could use a detachable shower head, for kids coming back from the beach or a hike.

The location of the property, the local staff, the cleanliness of the property, the well manicured property, the extended pool hours, the helpfulness and attentiveness of the concierge staff, the pleasentness of the front counter staff- making us feel like we were super important.

We had family in Waimea so this was a nice central location to get anywhere on our agenda. We were in building 10 which was very easy to access for our car. The grounds were very nicely maintained. We were not right near the pool, which we prefer to reduce noise but it was jut a short walk to get to the pool. Having a washer and dryer is bonus to us when travelling. We asked for new towel exchange a few times and was handled easily.

We did find a cockroach on our couch which worries me about taking them home with us. The kitchen cabinets need some TLC, but they had all the accessories we needed in the kitchen.

The location and the facilities were very nice, comfortable and well maintained.

The prices for anything on Kauai ARE WAY TOO HIGH. I think I will find other vacation locations that are more affordable and just as enjoyable.

great resort, huge apartment with everything you need, from dishwasher to pizza knife. clean, comfortable. The pool is lovely for kids, and the jim is well equipped. You can rent beach chairs, umbrellas and DVD right at the resort.

The food at the poolside restaurant is mediocre at best.

The condo was great! Loved the setback balcony and our garden view actually allowed us to see the ocean and sunrise!. Enjoyed the nearby hotub and facilities in the condo.

Constant harrassment about tour of property and lack of true, significant discounts from "concierges. Most of these folks were helpful, one showed her annoyance and anger when I reminded her I was not interested in any tours of the property that were looking for a sale.

Parking insufficient and too distant; elevator did not work and was an inconvenient.
