The location is fantastic, as it is close to the main tourist attractions in the downtown area, yet away from the hustle and bustle. The doorkeepers, waitstaff, and cleaning staff were the highlight of our experience; they were genuinely caring and kind. My husband's favorite mole from our entire trip was at the hotel restaurant, so be sure not to miss it!

The bathrooms might need an update, but nothing detrimental to our trip. When I checked in, I signed the policies and decided to request a late checkout. However, when I inquired about it, the staff informed me that the amount and policies I was given were incorrect, and they wanted me to pay more and change my checkout time. After they called a supervisor, they upheld the policies I had originally signed. It seems that the hotel needs to either update its policy documents, notify guests about any changes to the terms and conditions at check-in, or add amendments to the existing policies.

This hotel has the perfect location, just one block next to the main street and next to one of the cheapest traditional restaurant with one Michelin star! The hotel also looks really nice, we love the patio with the swimming pool. The room was okay, it felt clean and was very spacious. There is a safe. The shower is good. Friendly and helpful staff.

The only negative thing about the room is that it was somewhere in the back and has no natural light. Water of the swimming pool was very cold.

The property is clean and beautiful. It is centrally located. Getting around town on foot to Mercado 20 de Noviembre is a 5 minute walk. The service at Oaxaca Real is superb. Everyone is very friendly and always happy to help. They are absolutely happy to help you and welcoming. The restaurant is very affordable and delicious. I recommend the Michelada, which is simple, but has an amazing depth of flavor. There is a mezcal tasting room where you can purchase bottles of mezcal as well. The gentleman in there has a wealth of information about mezcal as well. We’re coming back and staying here from now on. There are much fancier & expensive hotels but having visited, we were very unimpressed with the lack of warmth.

There wasn’t anything I did not like about the property.

Location excellent. Staff was always helpful. Restaurant was good. We enjoyed the pool area. I even had a Zoom meeting at 8 PM in the pool area since I didn't want to disturb my wife by attending the online meeting in our room.

Our room was noisy during the afternoon because there was construction going on one floor above, and our room adjoined an air shaft/ small inner court. When we complained, an alternate room was offered but we didn’t take it because the bed was too close to closet, making access to it a bit more difficult. On balance, the room we had was acceptable because we were usually out during the noisiest time of day.

The hotel is in a great location and has new Aircon which in the heatwave I've experienced was key as I left another accommodation when I couldn't sleep. The power went out in a storm and came back quickly. I've extended my stay here. The staff spoke English and have been so friendly and helpful. I got a bonus drink at the bar which was delicious and the pool is small but refreshing. The outdoor dining area is lovely.

The towels are a bit worn through and there's a small amount of lift noise as the room is near but it's overall pretty quiet and a lovely retreat.

Location is fantastic. The main plaza is a few blocks away, and close to the main pedestrian street where all the tourist action is. Room was ok. It was comfortable, but you can hear everything in the walkway and the neighbors' rooms: kids running around, people talking and laughing, couples having sex, etc. It's a big happy family there with no secrets lol. Breakfast was not the best. I wish it would have more local flavors. Overall good, but I would prefer something more quiet.

Since you can hear every conversation in the corridor, it would be nice to remind people not to be noisy after 11pm. Breakfast was not the best. I wish it would have more local flavors. We spent 4 nights in the hotel. The room is nice, the restaurant on the terrace good and very practical, all you need is nearby with cafés, old city or tour starts to the east and street food. If you have a room with interior view be aware there is only no music either at the bar or restaurant between 2 and 8am if you want to open the window and sleep.

The room was compact but sufficient. Being an interior room it was pleasantly comfortable temperature wise, we didn’t need the air conditioning. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent location to el centro

We were pleased to be offered complimentary cocktail vouchers at check-in although the bar didn’t honor them in my case. I like the bar restaurant but I suggest presenting your voucher in advance.

The position was excellent, fresh water in bottle was disposed in the bedroom everyday, the room was very clean, the bed was very confortable, good AC and/or fans if AC is not necessary. The pool was very clean but in the end we didn't even bath.

This is a personal detail but the shower is closed by a curtain which I personally don't like. When showering, it is easy to flood the floor...
