Hotel was within town walls so right in the action, surrounded by bars and restaurants. You park outside the walls so have to carry all luggage from the car park to the hotel.

Our toilet had a black seat and lid. Haven't seen one in decades. Bad staining in the toilet which is not acceptable. Window shutters were very creaky and in dire need of a lick of paint. Air conditioning unit was not working properly and groaned as if on its last legs. I suppose shabby chic would best describe the room. No lift in the hotel. We were on second floor so had to negotiate steep, winding stairs. Not suitable for someone with mobility issues. Breakfast was ok but watched constantly by two women when getting your food. Meagre portions on display. Breakfast only been going an hour and they had run out of croissants. When queried was told finished. However having sat back down at the table she miraculously produced two croissants.!

Excellent location for exploring The Camargue , Nimes and Arles. The hotel is located within the city walls of Aigues Mortes in a quite street close to all the main shops & restaurants. The hotel provides a free access card to use the public car park which is a 5 minute walk just outside the city gates. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull especially on the reception desk. We stayed for 2 nights in a superior room on half board. The room was large with a king size bed and a big bathroom and walk in shower. We used the hotel restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. The 3 course meal in the hotel and the local restaurant we used on the Monday when the hotel dining room was closed were of an excellent standard.. The Continental breakfast was very good with plentiful choice of food and drink but no hot food..

Hotel is beautiful and set in a place full of history which myself & my husband love. Delicious offerings at breakfast & evening meal. Beds very comfortable and hotel very clean. Loved the shutters! Staff very attentive, a must visit and re-visit

The only suggestion I would make is to have something warm in the breakfast selection other than toast. Boiled eggs or something similar.

The location was very good for eating out in the evening and exploring the little streets and walking outside the walls. They were very helpful in explaining the parking system. Basically you park in the car parks excepting p1. You get a pass from the hotel on leaving which you use to pay with. Don't use your ticket. You can then park in P1 or P2 for 30 minutes free. This gives you time to return your pass. We were parked in P4 which is a bit of a trek in the heat. Don't take much luggage. Fine in the morning walking back when it was cool. The room facing the courtyard at the back was well air-conditioned and quiet.

Spacious upstairs room with lots of light. The area is very lively but the hotel is on a quieter section of the street. Breakfast was very good. We didn't eat there but the restaurant and bar looked great. Everyone we encountered was very helpful.

Parking was a little screwy. Lots 1 and 2 were perpetually filled so not able to utilize. Had to go back to #4 twice in the AM, once with luggage. I think they should come up with an easier plan.

Old building (they all are in A-M!) but well presented within the city walls, close to the square and restaurants. Easy to find, easy to park outside the city, and then walk in. They provide a pass to get out of the car park so it’s free. The town itself is lovely, recommend a walk along the top of the fortifications and also the big tower.

Nothing really, all good.

The breakfast was really nice with plenty of choice and specialties from the region. It is very thoughtful to provide a solution for parking. We were even able to keep the parking card after checkout to be able to see the town during the afternoon.

We should have come earlier and stayed another few nights

The hotel is very well located. We had a simple, small, but comfortable and quite room with a small balcony. We didn't eat breakfast there, but we did eat dinner and had a very nice meal. The owner/bar tender/waiter was very kind. The dining/bar/lobby areas were elegant.

The water pressure was minimal, the hot water was mostly tepid, and the bathroom was spartan.

Perfectly located in Aigues Mortes, extremely authentic, legend sais it was the very first hotel in the town. Stairs are incredible, staff very friendly, the patio in the back yard feels like a coccoon, + they are pet friendly and have Family rooms for a couple with 2 kids. What more can you ask for? oh yes, complimentary parking in the almosts all the parking lots aroud the town except for P1, but P2, P3 and P5 are just as convenient, I don’t even know why P1 is P1… This is why I so highly recommend this hotel, it is a treat. Enjoy your stay!

if I really had to think about a negative point, I would eventually say there is no elevator, if that could be a negative point?

The hotel is situated just a stone's throw away from the city center. In less than 200 metres, you reach the central market place with several dining options, cafes and bars. This notwithstanding, the hotel itself is very quiet. The staff at the reception is very welcoming, kind and helpful - way above average. We were travelling on bicycles and were welcomed very friendly even in our sweaty sports gear, and offered a safe and spacious garage to park our cycles over night. The rooms are tiny but completely sufficient for a one or two night stay, the bathroom is well equipped and spacious, and we loved in particular the little balcony infant of our room facing the street. Aigues-Mortes itself is a lovely little city with a lot of history - definitely worth a short trip if you're down in that area.

...that I couldn't stay longer and test the in-house restaurant. :-)
